Which music companies in Texas sponsor visas?
Austin-based companies like Spredfast (now Khoros), music venues including ACL Live at Moody Theater, and Dallas-based record labels frequently sponsor H-1B and O-1 visas. Major concert promoters like Live Nation Entertainment and streaming technology companies with Texas offices also sponsor international music professionals for technical and creative roles.
What visa types are most common for music jobs in Texas?
O-1 visas dominate for artists, performers, and creative professionals in Texas music. H-1B visas are common for music technology roles, data analysts at streaming companies, and specialized positions at record labels. Some touring musicians use P-1 visas for specific performances or festivals in Austin, Dallas, and Houston markets.
How to find music visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international talent with Texas music employers who sponsor visas. Focus your search on Austin's music technology sector, Dallas entertainment companies, and Houston's diverse music scene. Many positions combine music expertise with technical skills, making them strong candidates for H-1B sponsorship through established Texas employers.
Which Texas cities have the most music sponsorship opportunities?
Austin leads with its concentration of music festivals, venues, and technology companies serving the music industry. Dallas follows with major record labels and entertainment corporations, while Houston offers opportunities in diverse musical genres and media companies. San Antonio provides additional venues and regional music production opportunities for international professionals.
Are prevailing wages higher for music roles in Texas cities?
Austin typically shows higher prevailing wages for music technology and festival production roles due to competition from tech companies. Dallas music industry wages align with its corporate entertainment sector, while Houston offers competitive compensation in media and production roles. Wages vary significantly between performance-based and technology-focused music positions across Texas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored music jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
