ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Store and retrieve product using appropriate powered equipment.
- Verify the accuracy of pallets and product moved within the facility.
- Operate powered lift equipment for the majority of the shift; supporting small goods operations as needed.
- Receive and execute work orders and material movement instructions through the DAX system.
- Retrieve product from designated locations to fulfill shipment requirements.
- Allocate product into the appropriate reserve storage locations.
- Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other production areas as needed based on workload demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the area Supervisor or Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be Guitar Center certified to operate powered equipment or be willing and able to obtain certification if selected.
- Ability to read and write English, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Aptitude for working with the DAX system to identify, retrieve, move, and secure product for storage or shipment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency when processing orders.
- Demonstrated reliability with the ability to maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to support other production areas and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to share detailed information with drivers and processors across departments.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated support for company goals.
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in varying temperatures, including hot conditions during summer months.
- Must be comfortable operating powered equipment at heights of up to 50 feet while wearing a safety harness.
