POSITION: Senior Planner/Offshore Projects
WORKSITE: 17220 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for implementing, maintaining and follow-up of all project planning activities within a project including interface with other project controls roles
- Actively working with other project controls disciplines to ensure quality in deliverables
- Developing and maintaining baseline schedule for client’s approval including agreed S-curves and reporting formats
- Developing project specific procedures including work breakdown structure and progress measurement methods in accordance with client’s requirements
- Preparing reports on progress, critical paths, deviations, forecasting
- Preparing and maintaining master schedules and offshore operations live schedule and developing different what-if simulations/scenarios as requested/needed
- Maintaining control of all changes in the schedule and explain variances, especially during the offshore operations phase when schedule is extremely fluid
- Understanding project’s needs
- Identifying and addressing planning problems and developing and implementing solutions
- Ensuring that any changes related to the scope of the contract are implemented into relevant plans
- Implementing sub-contractors plans into main schedule/plan including establishing reporting routines for sub-contractors and following up on progress
- Participating and ensuring strong communication and follow up for internal and external activities in the project
- Reporting consequences/changes related to planned progress according to agreed reporting frequency
- Training / mentoring more junior planners
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience building schedules for construction, installation and development of subsea infrastructure covering all projects.
