INTRODUCTION

A leading data center developer and builder is seeking a Construction Director for a campus in early development in Lufkin, Texas. This role provides site management and leadership for individual buildings and the full project, coordinating subcontractors, materials and equipment, and making sure specifications are followed and work stays on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

- Lead data center campus teams and provide hands-on management support for individual projects
- Manage overall budgets and schedules, including subcontractor, vendor and consultant budgets
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, consultants and vendors for timely completion
- Perform quality control and make sure subcontractors comply with the contracted scope of work
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Identify non-compliance with safety, health and environmental standards, and resolve conflicts in construction progress
- Maintain a daily jobsite log; lead weekly subcontractor meetings
- Manage punch list identification and completion

REQUIREMENTS

- General contractor background (not owner-side)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of construction experience; Division 2-10 (concrete through finishes) experience
- Blueprint reading; proficiency in Excel and MS Project
- Ability to walk the full job site, including stairs and elevated structures

PREFERRED

- 1+ years of data center experience
- Yardi, Procore and Prolog experience
