POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Administrator is responsible for internal and external communications and community relations and supports the Communications Function. This role oversees communications initiatives, ensuring accurate messaging, professional representation, and timely delivery across all platforms.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Public Engagement & Hosting: Serve as the face of Formosa Plastics for customer visits, events and tours inside a chemical plant environment, such as a control room. Plan, coordinate, and lead presentations and engagements, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience. Supports the Assistant Manager in planning major public-facing initiatives as needed.
Community & Board Participation: Represent Formosa Plastics on local community boards and at public events. Must be willing to attend evening and weekend community meetings and events, often with limited notice, as a key part of representing Formosa Plastics.
Content Creation & Digital Management: Serve as a photographer, and manage photography, videography, graphic design, and video editing for internal and external communications. Maintain and update content for the intranet, internal digital boards, external website, contractor portal, digital signage, social media, and presentations to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
Internal & External Communications: Draft, review, and distribute communications including company-wide announcements, operational updates, and event notices. Ensure clarity, appropriateness, and timeliness of messaging for internal and external audiences.
ISO Communications & Compliance: Serve as the ISO Communications Coordinator. Prepare and present communications materials for ISO audits and maintain required documentation, ensuring alignment with Company policies and ISO standards. Support the General Manager’s Office in compliance-related initiatives, such as giving an overview presentation to auditors and attending monthly meetings.
Communications Operations & Coordination: Use Concur to complete expense reports and ensure they are submitted on time. Manage and coordinate significant events, including calendar planning, RSVPs, sponsorships, and table assignments, and employee-focused initiatives such as blood drives. Ensure training modules are assigned and completed by all Communications staff on schedule. Monitor media outlets and compile news clips. Perform these duties with discretion and initiative to ensure communications activities run smoothly and effectively.
Communications & Information Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive company, customer and visitor information with the highest level of discretion and integrity. High level of professionalism and sound judgment when dealing with proprietary company information, preventing unauthorized access or disclosure while maintaining and protecting confidential data.
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.

- Previous Related Experience Required
A minimum of one (1) to five (5) years’ experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related professional field depending on education. Experience in a corporate or petrochemical facility is preferred.
