Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Account Project Manager
Target employers with a history of sponsoring this role
Large consulting firms, advertising agencies, and enterprise software companies file LCAs for Account Project Manager positions regularly. Focusing your search on these industries significantly increases your odds of finding genuine sponsorship willingness before you apply.
Clarify the degree requirement before applying
H-1B sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a specific bachelor's degree must be required, not just preferred. Confirm with the employer that the job description mandates a degree in a relevant field like business, marketing, or communications.
Highlight cross-functional coordination experience
Employers sponsoring international Account Project Managers want evidence you can manage client relationships and internal teams simultaneously. Quantify your track record with specific projects, timelines, and stakeholder counts to make the specialty occupation case stronger for USCIS.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline before accepting an offer
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, registration opens in March for an October start date. Discuss this timeline with employers early so both sides understand the gap between offer acceptance and your authorized start date.
Ask whether the employer is cap-exempt
Universities, nonprofits affiliated with higher education, and certain research institutions are exempt from the H-1B annual cap. If you find an Account Project Manager role at one of these organizations, you can file anytime without waiting for the lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Migrate Mate filters Account Project Manager jobs by employers who have actively sponsored visas, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely. Browse listings to identify which companies have filed LCAs for this specific job title recently.

Find Account Project Manager JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does an Account Project Manager role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
It depends on how the employer defines the role. For H-1B eligibility, the position must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like business administration, marketing, or communications must be required. Generalist management roles where any degree suffices can be harder to sponsor, so the job description wording matters significantly.
Which visa categories are most common for Account Project Managers?
The H-1B is the most common path. Australians may qualify for the E-3, which has no lottery and a faster process. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under the TN visa if the role meets the relevant USMCA category. Transferees with prior employer experience may be eligible for the L-1B for specialized knowledge roles. Each option has distinct eligibility requirements.
How do I find Account Project Manager jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't explicitly advertise sponsorship, so filtering by employers with a documented history of filing LCAs for this role is the most reliable approach. Migrate Mate lists Account Project Manager positions from employers who have actively sponsored visas, so you can focus your applications where sponsorship is already established rather than guessing.
Does my degree field matter for Account Project Manager H-1B sponsorship?
Yes. USCIS evaluates whether your degree directly relates to the duties of the role. A degree in business, marketing, project management, or communications typically supports an Account Project Manager petition well. A degree in an unrelated field, such as biology or fine arts, can complicate approval unless you have substantial relevant coursework or experience that bridges the gap.
Can I switch employers on an H-1B as an Account Project Manager?
Yes. H-1B portability allows you to move to a new sponsoring employer once your new employer files an H-1B transfer petition. You can begin working for the new employer as soon as the petition is filed, without waiting for approval. The new employer must be willing to sponsor and file the necessary paperwork, including a new Labor Condition Application for the Account Project Manager role.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Account Project Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
