DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support our Amazon Web Services (AWS) product development teams. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, artificial intelligence and machine learning, agentic AI and more.
We're looking for a products counseling attorney to support AWS’s healthcare and life science business. In this role, you will work directly with the business team as lead counsel to develop AWS AI products and services at the intersection of emerging agentic technology and the future of healthcare. Your role will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders, including public policy, privacy, marketing and go-to-market teams.
You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Key job responsibilities
- Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies
- Advising on healthcare and life science regulatory and compliance matters, privacy, intellectual property, and go-to-market strategy
- Drafting and negotiating commercial licensing agreements
- Providing day-to-day input on business strategy
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in health care regulatory compliance and/or health tech
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent

COMPENSATION
- The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
