Duties
- Conduct intake, psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing patient assessments; document findings and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Provide psychiatry, psychotherapy, mental health counseling, and psychopharmacology, using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and, where appropriate, psychodynamic therapy.
- Support patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, and other behavioral health concerns; apply crisis management and addiction counseling or medicine within scope.
- Coordinate consultation-liaison psychiatry and care with other clinicians; use data collection and evidence-based practice to guide decisions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and comply with applicable health regulations and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) rules.
Experience
- Required: Medical degree, completed psychiatry residency, and current authorization to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Relevant experience includes clinical psychiatry, psychiatric patient care, healthcare diagnosis, and work with pediatric, adult, geriatric, or developmental-disability populations.
- Hospital or inpatient experience, outpatient or clinic experience, telehealth, and post-residency practice are valuable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient care standards, and applicable health regulation policy is expected; experience in PTSD care, addiction medicine, or consultation-liaison psychiatry is preferred.
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
