Duralum Products, Inc., a leader in the patio covering manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled employee for their Customer Service/Order Writer position. The position is full-time and offers competitive wages and benefit plans upon completion of the introductory period.

Summary: The primary responsibility of the Inside Sales Person is to generate profitable sales within the defined scope of projects best suited for Duralum. Ensuring you generate appealing quotes, manage the expectations of clients, attaining sales and gross margin targets are all core responsibilities of the Customer Service/Order Writer position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Takes personal ownership for the quality and accuracy for translating customer orders into Bill of Materials. This includes; color, height, size and other key factors required for manufacturing materials that result in happy customers.

• Customer service experience on phones and at the counter are at a level that encourage repeat business. Customers feel important even while waiting for assistance, returned calls or other common delay.
• Consistently follows company processes to maximize efficiency, customer service, order accuracy (limit customer shorts), profitability and sales opportunities.
• Verifies customer lines of credit are within company standards before placing additional orders. Follows all company credit card processing and end of day reporting procedures.
• Educates customers on competitive advantages to using Duralum Products to meet their customer needs; reinforces the customer’s confidence in this purchasing decision and influences future decisions.
• Maintains the front counters in an organized, clean and professional manner. Understands that contractors perceive the standards at Duralum’s front counter are likely the standards for producing the products that they eventually sell to their customers.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma

Language Skills:

Must possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must possess the ability to write simple correspondence. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must possess the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programs, which includes but is not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, this position requires the use of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
