Account Project Manager Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account project manager in Wyoming?
Most Wyoming employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field paired with demonstrated project coordination experience. Wyoming does not require a state-issued license specifically for account project managers, but earning a PMP credential through the Project Management Institute strengthens applications significantly. Starting in a coordinator, client services, or junior account role at an energy company, healthcare organization, or government contractor in Cheyenne or Casper is the most common path into the role.
How much do account project managers make in Wyoming?
Account project managers in Wyoming earn a median of about $94,080 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $54,750 for the lowest 10% to over $151,500 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account project managers in Wyoming?
Employers hiring account project managers in Wyoming right now include State Farm, HUB International, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's energy, infrastructure, and state government sectors tend to be the most consistent sources of account project manager openings throughout the year.
Which Wyoming cities have the most account project manager jobs?
Cheyenne, Casper, and Jackson have the most account project manager openings in Wyoming. Cheyenne leads as the state capital and home to government agencies and corporate headquarters, while Casper's concentration of energy and oil-field services companies drives consistent demand, and Gillette's coal and mineral extraction industry supports ongoing project management hiring.
Are there remote account project manager jobs in Wyoming?
Yes, and account project management is reasonably remote-friendly given its desk-based, communication-driven nature. About 12% of account project manager openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Client communication, reporting, and internal coordination tasks are the portions most commonly performed remotely, while kickoff meetings and site reviews for energy or construction clients typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a account project manager in Wyoming with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a project coordinator or client services associate role at one of Wyoming's energy firms, healthcare systems, or state agency contractors in Cheyenne or Casper. Large employers in those sectors regularly hire for administrative and coordination support roles that build directly transferable skills. Earning your CAPM certification through the Project Management Institute before applying demonstrates commitment and gives you an edge over candidates without formal credentials, even at the entry level.
