How do you become a operations project manager in Wyoming?
Wyoming does not require a state-issued license for operations project managers, so the path runs through education and credential. Most Wyoming employers expect at least a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, followed by the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. Candidates who build experience in operations coordination roles at Wyoming energy, transportation, or government contractors typically move into project manager positions without additional state-specific registration.
How much do operations project managers make in Wyoming?
Operations project managers in Wyoming earn a median of about $94,080 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $54,750 for the lowest 10% to over $151,500 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire operations project managers in Wyoming?
Companies currently hiring operations project managers in Wyoming include CVS Health, Walgreens, and State of Wyoming, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's energy and infrastructure sectors, including oil refinement, coal, and utilities, drive the most consistent demand for this role across the state.
Which Wyoming cities have the most operations project manager jobs?
Cheyenne, Casper, and Wyoming have the most operations project manager openings in Wyoming. Cheyenne leads as the state capital and home to major government agencies and logistics hubs, while Casper's oil and gas industry sustains strong demand, and Gillette anchors the Powder River Basin energy sector, which consistently needs project oversight across mining and utilities operations.

Yes, and more than roles requiring hands-on site presence, though on-site coordination remains common in Wyoming's energy and infrastructure industries. About 17% of operations project manager openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a mix of full on-site energy roles and hybrid corporate or government positions.
