Account Supervisor Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account supervisor in Vermont?
No state-issued license is required to work as an account supervisor in Vermont. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a comparable field, paired with progressively responsible account management experience. Candidates who have advanced through account coordinator or account manager roles at Vermont agencies or corporate communications departments are well positioned. Earning credentials such as a Google Analytics certification or a HubSpot Account Management certification can strengthen an application with Vermont employers who value demonstrable digital fluency.
Which companies hire account supervisors in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring account supervisors in Vermont include Elderwood, Crescent Manor Rehabilitation, and Land O'Lakes, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's mix of marketing agencies, financial services firms, and regional healthcare organizations creates consistent demand for account supervisors who can manage complex client relationships across multiple industries.
Which Vermont cities have the most account supervisor jobs?
Bennington, Burlington, and Barre have the most account supervisor openings in Vermont. Burlington anchors the largest share of postings due to its concentration of marketing agencies, technology companies, and financial services firms, while Montpelier draws demand from state government contractors and insurance organizations, and South Burlington benefits from its proximity to Burlington's commercial corridor and established corporate campuses.
Are there remote account supervisor jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than many fields. Account supervisor work is desk-based and communication-driven, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 0% of account supervisor openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a broader shift in how agencies and corporate accounts teams are structured. Strategy, client communication, and reporting functions are the most commonly performed remotely, while new-business pitches and team leadership duties more often require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a account supervisor in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an account coordinator or account assistant role at a Vermont marketing agency or in-house communications team, where promotion to account supervisor typically follows two to three years of client-facing work. Employers such as National Life Group and regional Burlington agencies often hire entry-level account staff and develop them internally. Building a portfolio of campaign results or client deliverables, combined with a completed marketing or communications degree, gives candidates a concrete edge when applying for first supervisory roles.
