Motor Vehicle Clerk / Accounting Assistant
Circle INFINITI is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Clerk / Accounting Assistant to join our dealership team.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling automotive motor vehicle and title work and also be comfortable performing basic accounting and administrative functions. We are looking for someone who is accurate, dependable, able to manage multiple responsibilities, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Process motor vehicle paperwork, titles, registrations, and related documentation
- Prepare and submit New Jersey and out-of-state motor vehicle transactions
- Ensure all title and registration paperwork is complete and accurate
- Maintain motor vehicle schedules and follow up on outstanding titles, registrations, and lien information
- Process payoffs and related documentation
- Work with customers, banks, leasing companies, motor vehicle agencies, and dealership personnel to resolve title and registration issues
- Maintain accurate records and filing
- Assist the accounting office with basic accounting duties
- Post invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions as needed
- Assist with account reconciliations and general office duties
- Provide additional support to the dealership accounting office as needed
Qualifications
- Automotive dealership motor vehicle/title experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of New Jersey MVC procedures is a plus
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
