Responsibilities:
- Manage and process accounts payable, including invoice entry, approvals, and payments
- Review and verify accuracy of invoices and payment requests
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and relationships, ensuring timely communication
- Maintain accuracy of insurance records between the payroll system and the carrier portal, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Provide support during audits and assist with financial reporting
- Assist with general accounting functions and ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
- Experience in accounts payable, payroll, or a similar accounting role (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage Intacct, Bill.com)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
