Duties
- Prepare and post journal entries; maintain the general ledger using double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, and applicable accounting standards.
- Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts, analyze variances, and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and receivables management.
- Assist with month-end close, budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Enter and review data, perform Excel data analysis, and use spreadsheets to organize financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Provide responsive customer service and collaborate with accounting and finance colleagues while protecting confidential information.
Experience
- Accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of corporate accounting, financial concepts, numeracy, math, account analysis, and financial acumen.
- Experience with account reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable or receivable, and financial software; public accounting or governmental accounting knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, Workday, Foundation, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian is welcome; no single platform is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and spreadsheets. Technical accounting, credit analysis, and budgeting experience are valued.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
