The Senior Manager, Deposit Acquisition Marketing owns the acquisition strategy, offer design, and funnel performance for Flagstar's consumer deposit portfolio. This role is accountable for driving new-to-bank account acquisition and balance growth through disciplined test design, data-informed offer strategy, and end-to-end ownership of the deposit acquisition funnel from channel entry through funded account. The Senior Manager defines the offer architecture, leads acquisition test design across channels, builds the measurement frameworks that connect marketing investment to funded account outcomes, and develops talent within the acquisition function.
Job Responsibilities:
Offer Strategy and Acquisition Test Design

- Design and execute a rigorous acquisition test program, including test hypotheses, cell design, holdout methodology, channel sequencing, and measurement standards.
- Develop the offer testing roadmap, prioritizing tests based on potential acquisition impact, cost-of-funds implications, and strategic alignment with deposit growth objectives.
- Partner with Finance and Pricing to ensure all offer designs are economically grounded, with clear unit economics, payback periods, and cannibalization risk assessments.
- Translate test results into actionable offer and strategy recommendations, building a learning system that compounds over time.
- Stay current on the competitive deposit offer landscape, identifying gaps and opportunities in Flagstar's positioning.
Acquisition Funnel Ownership
- Own the end-to-end deposit acquisition funnel, from channel-level demand generation through application completion and funded account.
- Define funnel performance metrics and establish measurement infrastructure to track conversion rate, application completion rate, funded account volume, and cost per acquired account by channel and product.
- Partner with Acquisition Marketing on channel optimization for funnel conversion, not just top-of-funnel volume.
- Identify and prioritize funnel friction points, working with Digital Acquisition Experience and Technology teams to reduce drop-off and improve completion rates.
- Establish a continuous optimization cadence, using funnel data to drive ongoing improvements to offer presentation, landing experience, and application flow.
Product Marketing and Positioning
- Develop the consumer deposit product marketing strategy, ensuring each product in the portfolio has a clear, differentiated value proposition and a defined target segment.
- Partner with Brand and Creative teams to translate offer strategy and product positioning into compelling, conversion-optimized marketing assets across all channels.
- Ensure product marketing materials accurately reflect current offer terms, competitive positioning, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Manager, Product Modernization to ensure product marketing strategy reflects the current and future state product portfolio.
Performance Measurement and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Define and own the deposit acquisition marketing scorecard, tracking funded accounts, balance inflows, new-to-bank acquisition rate, cost per account, and return on marketing investment.
- Develop regular performance reporting for the Senior Director, Consumer Banking Product Growth and CMO, translating acquisition data into strategic recommendations.
- Partner with Analytics to ensure acquisition data is consolidated, accurate, and actionable.
- Develop and manage talent within the deposit acquisition marketing function.
- Collaborate with Finance, Pricing, Operations, Compliance, and Legal to ensure all acquisition programs are economically sound, operationally feasible, and regulatory-compliant.
- Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
- Analyzes and resolves problems.

Tips for Your Acquisition Marketing Manager Job Search
Quantify your channel performance clearly
Acquisition marketing managers live and die by numbers. Lead every work bullet with the channel you owned, the metric you moved, and the scale you worked at. Vague phrases like 'improved performance' won't get you past an initial screen.
Show attribution modeling experience upfront
Most teams want someone who can debate last-click versus data-driven attribution, not just run campaigns. Surface any hands-on experience with multi-touch attribution tools or in-house modeling in your resume summary and portfolio.
Target companies by their growth stage
A Series B startup wants someone who can build a paid strategy from scratch. An enterprise brand wants someone who can optimize at scale. Filter openings by company stage and tailor your resume accordingly so hiring managers see an immediate fit.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists acquisition marketing manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a channel audit as an interview asset
Top candidates often walk into final-round interviews with a brief audit of the company's current acquisition mix, spotting gaps in their paid, organic, or affiliate channels. It signals strategic thinking and turns the conversation into a two-way discussion.
Negotiate scope before negotiating anything else
When an offer arrives, clarify budget ownership, headcount, and reporting structure before discussing other terms. Acquisition managers at the same title level can have wildly different actual authority, and scope shapes the role more than title does.
Acquisition Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most acquisition marketing managers?
The companies hiring the most acquisition marketing managers right now include College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University, Fanduel, and Boston University, with the largest share of openings in New York, California, and Minnesota, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. High-growth consumer apps and subscription businesses consistently account for a large portion of open roles.
How many acquisition marketing manager jobs are remote?
About 35% of acquisition marketing manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more flexible marketing disciplines in terms of location. Roles focused on paid digital channels and lifecycle marketing tend to have the highest share of remote availability, while positions tied to local or event-based acquisition lean more in-office.
How do you become an acquisition marketing manager?
Most acquisition marketing managers start in a channel-specific role, such as paid search, paid social, or email, and build up enough cross-channel experience to move into a manager position. Building fluency in analytics and budget management accelerates that path. Taking on reporting ownership, even informally, helps you demonstrate the strategic scope hiring managers look for at the manager level.
Can you get hired as an acquisition marketing manager with little experience?
Getting hired with limited experience is possible if you can show direct ownership of a paid channel and point to measurable outcomes, even from freelance, contract, or in-house growth projects. Roles at early-stage startups or smaller e-commerce brands are more likely to hire candidates who haven't yet held the title, especially when the candidate brings strong analytical skills and channel depth in at least one area.
What does the acquisition marketing manager interview process look like?
The process usually starts with a recruiter screen focused on channel experience and budget scale, followed by a hiring manager conversation about strategy and cross-functional collaboration. Most companies then include a take-home case or live exercise where you analyze acquisition data or build a channel plan. Final rounds typically involve stakeholder interviews with growth, product, or finance leaders who assess how you'd work across teams.
Where can I find and apply to acquisition marketing manager jobs?
You can find and apply to acquisition marketing manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States in one place. Find roles that match your experience and channel focus, then apply directly to each listing that fits.
