Administrative Assistant Jobs in Fort Worth: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a administrative assistant job in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth's strongest hiring comes from its healthcare networks, defense and aerospace contractors near the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, and the city and county government offices downtown. Candidates who know Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with scheduling, records management, or procurement support stand out locally. Targeting mid-size professional services firms in the Sundance Square and West 7th areas alongside the large institutional employers gives you the broadest set of openings.
Which companies hire administrative assistants in Fort Worth?
Fort Worth administrative assistant roles are posted by Lockheed Martin, Texas Christian University, and Ferrovial and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market is shaped by a mix of large hospital systems, defense contractors, financial institutions, and the city and Tarrant County government, all of which maintain consistent administrative staffing needs year-round.
Are there remote administrative assistant jobs in Fort Worth?
Yes, though administrative assistant work is largely on-site by nature since the role often involves managing physical calendars, office logistics, and in-person executive support. About 50% of administrative assistant openings tied to Fort Worth are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with those positions most common in insurance, financial services, and technology-adjacent firms operating out of the Alliance and North Fort Worth business corridors.
How can I get a administrative assistant job in Fort Worth with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Fort Worth is through Tarrant County's government offices or the large hospital systems in the Near Southside, both of which regularly post entry-level administrative and clerical support roles. Temp-to-hire positions through local staffing agencies placing candidates at downtown law firms and financial offices are another strong route. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to start as a receptionist or office coordinator greatly improves your chances of landing that first role locally.
