Join the Workplace Solutions organization and become part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking team. As an IT Agile Project Manager, you will be driving innovation as you manage the delivery of new solutions and help migrate legacy products for a newly formed team on the Premium & Claims Agile Release Train (ART), supporting the team’s growing Dental, Vision, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) solutions. This role will enable you to support the software development lifecycle by conducting thorough coordination, scheduling, clarification of work, and support to prioritization. These product lines are experiencing double-digit (>10%) year-over-year growth, and this role will help modernize current systems into new, event-driven, API-based solutions that enhance the digital experience for MoO’s customers and business users.
You’ll work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the business needs are met while gaining leadership experience. You’ll also build your understanding of departmental processes, the software development life cycle, business acumen, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies. Our culture values teamwork, innovation, and growth. We believe in supporting one another, putting customers first, embracing new ideas, and creating opportunities for associates to learn, lead, and make a meaningful impact.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Salary: Project Manager II: $110,000 - $135,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
- 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
- Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.
Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.
This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Serves as a Scrum Master and process expert in a Scaled Agile environment, overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring successful Program Increment planning and execution.
- Leads the Car/Team using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and owns all team ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Up, PI Planning, Team Retrospective, Backlog Grooming, and Pre-Planning.
- Partners closely with the Product Owner (PO) assigned to the team and collaborates with other Premium & Claims ART and Workplace Solutions teams. This is a newly formed team, expected to include approximately 4-5 IS Engineers and 6-7 Business Analysts, made up of both experienced staff and new hires.
- Builds and leads high-performing teams, including building strong relationships with product owners, solution leads, stakeholders, customers and other team members.
- Manages run, grow and transform work including the management of project charters, budgets and measurements.
- Facilitates day-to-day work coordination, prioritization, and removal of impediments. Tracks work status, manages issues, and evaluates progress, quality, and costs. Facilitates continuous improvement/growth plans for the team.
- Represents team projects to IT and business partners by presenting summarized views to large groups of stakeholders and responding to questions. Facilitates and represents stakeholders in quarterly planning activities.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in IT including managing project planning, execution and delivery, financial analysis and problem resolution.
- 5+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, with a solid understanding of SAFe ceremonies, roles, and responsibilities; leads and facilitates Scrum/SAFe events, removes impediments, and educates/ensures teams follow Agile principles.
- Strong communication and documentation skills including experience with JIRA, Microsoft SharePoint and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience defining issues and opportunities for innovation, business and technology needs, and implementing solutions.
- Ability to manage work across technologies, domains and business functions, including understanding comparative business values and negotiation of prioritizations.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Ability to serve as a bridge between business and technical team members, connect the dots across a fast-paced environment, and translate ambiguous requirements into actionable stories; demonstrates a bias for action rather than waiting for issues to resolve themselves, and is willing to fail fast and try again.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
PREFERRED:
- General knowledge of the SDLC in a Java-based environment.
- Project Management, Scrum Master, and SAFe certifications.
- Servant leader mindset including supporting and developing team members, facilitating collaboration, leading by example and prioritizing the team’s success.
- Willingness to use AI tools to simplify work products such as meeting outcomes, actions, milestones, and dependencies.

Tips for Your Agile Project Manager Job Search
Tailor your resume to each framework
Hiring managers scan for the specific Agile framework named in the posting. If the role calls out SAFe, your resume should show Release Train experience. If it says Scrum Master background preferred, lead with sprint cadence and retrospective outcomes, not generic project delivery language.
Quantify throughput, not just delivery
Agile project manager resumes stand out when they show velocity improvements, cycle time reductions, or the number of concurrent squads you coordinated. Statements like 'reduced average sprint carryover by restructuring backlog refinement sessions' are far more compelling than 'delivered projects on time.'
Earn the certifications interviewers expect
PMI-ACP, CSM, and SAFe SPC are the certifications that appear most often in job descriptions. If you hold a PMP but lack an Agile-specific credential, many employers will note the gap. Prioritize the certification that matches the framework used most in your target industry.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists agile project manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Filter openings by methodology, not just title
Job titles in this field vary widely. Searching only 'agile project manager' misses postings titled Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or Agile Coach that match your experience. Expand your search terms to capture the full range of roles you're actually qualified for.
Prepare a ceremony walkthrough for interviews
Interviewers often ask you to walk through how you run a sprint retrospective or a PI planning event. Practicing a concise, concrete answer that shows how you adapted a ceremony to a struggling team will differentiate you from candidates who only describe the textbook process.
Agile Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most agile project managers?
The companies hiring the most agile project managers right now include IBSS, Diversified Services Network, and Avetta, with the largest share of openings in Maryland, Texas, and Illinois, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Demand is concentrated in technology, financial services, and healthcare organizations running large-scale product delivery programs.
How many agile project manager jobs are remote?
About 80% of agile project manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of September 2026, making it one of the more flexible roles in project management. Sub-areas with the highest remote share include software delivery, digital transformation, and enterprise platform teams, where distributed squads are already the norm.
How do you become an agile project manager?
Start by learning one core framework, typically Scrum or SAFe, and earning the corresponding entry-level certification such as CSM or SAFe Agilist. Build hands-on experience by joining a team as a junior Scrum Master or delivery coordinator, then document measurable outcomes from ceremonies and sprint cycles you owned before applying for full agile project manager roles.
Can you get hired as an agile project manager with little experience?
Yes, especially if you can show you have led any team-level Agile practice, even informally. Employers hiring at the associate level often value a current CSM or PMI-ACP certification, demonstrated knowledge of sprint mechanics, and experience coordinating cross-functional work over years of formal title history. Targeting companies that are scaling Agile adoption tends to surface more entry-level openings.
What does the agile project manager interview process look like?
Most employers run a recruiter screen followed by a hiring manager interview focused on how you facilitate ceremonies and handle blockers. A second round typically includes a panel with engineering, product, or business stakeholders who probe your communication and prioritization approach. Some organizations add a practical scenario or case exercise where you walk through how you would run a sprint or respond to scope changes mid-cycle.
Where can I find and apply to agile project manager jobs?
You can find and apply to agile project manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your framework experience and seniority level, then apply directly to each one that fits.
