Business To Business Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business to business professional in New York?
Most business to business roles in New York require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though no state-issued license applies to the role itself. Employers typically look for experience in consultative sales, account management, or client-facing roles. Building fluency in a high-demand New York vertical, such as fintech, media, or enterprise software, and earning a recognized sales methodology certification can significantly strengthen your candidacy with New York employers.
Which companies hire business to business professionals in New York?
Employers hiring business to business professionals in New York right now include Citi, Google, and JPMorganChase, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial institutions, global media companies, and enterprise technology firms means sustained, year-round demand across seniority levels.
Which New York cities have the most business to business jobs?
The most business to business openings in New York are in New York and Syracuse. New York City drives the bulk of demand thanks to its density of corporate headquarters in finance, media, and technology, while Albany and Buffalo attract steady hiring from regional enterprise accounts, state government contractors, and growing upstate tech and healthcare sectors.
Are there remote business to business jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 20% of business to business openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how naturally the role translates to distributed work. Strategic account management and SaaS-focused roles are the most likely to offer fully remote arrangements, while roles that require in-person client entertainment or on-site presence in financial services tend to stay hybrid.
How can I get hired as a business to business professional in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales associate role, which large New York employers such as IBM, Google, and major financial services firms use as structured feeder programs into full account management. Lateral moves from customer success, marketing coordination, or retail account roles are common and well-recognized by New York hiring managers. Completing a Salesforce certification or HubSpot Sales Software credential before applying gives candidates without direct experience a concrete, recognized signal that accelerates early interviews.
