Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for negotiation and a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Buyer to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that we source and purchase the highest quality materials at the most cost-effective prices. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, coupled with a strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Buyer, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee our company’s procurement activities. Your duties will include:

1. Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans to meet the company's objectives.
2. Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
3. Conducting cost analysis to identify areas for potential savings and improvement.
4. Managing vendor relationships and building effective supply chain strategies.
5. Overseeing inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
6. Forecasting future supply needs and market trends to inform purchasing decisions.
7. Collaborating with other departments to determine product specifications and requirements.
8. Managing the procurement budget and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
9. Staying updated on product knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
10. Resolving vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in negotiation and vendor management.
3. Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement best practices.
4. Proficiency in inventory management and forecasting.
5. Solid understanding of cost analysis and budgeting.
6. Excellent product knowledge in the manufacturing industry.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
9. Proficiency in relevant procurement software.
10. A degree in accounting, supply chain, or business administration.
