Client Advisor Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client advisor in Indiana?
Most Indiana client advisor roles require at minimum a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. If the role involves selling or advising on insurance products, you must hold an active producer license issued by the Indiana Department of Insurance, which requires completing pre-licensing education and passing a state exam. Roles touching securities typically require FINRA registration. Employers in banking and wealth management often sponsor new hires through licensing after an offer is extended.
Which companies hire client advisors in Indiana?
Indiana client advisor roles are posted by JPMorganChase, KeyBank, and First Bank and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indiana's mix of insurance headquarters, regional banks, and corporate financial services divisions makes it one of the more consistent hiring markets in the Midwest for client-facing advisory roles.
Which Indiana cities have the most client advisor jobs?
Indianapolis, Munster, and Portage account for the most client advisor openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates because it houses the state's largest concentration of financial services firms, insurance company headquarters, and corporate headquarters with in-house client advisory teams, while Fort Wayne and Carmel draw openings from regional banking branches and wealth management offices serving affluent suburban markets.
Are there remote client advisor jobs in Indiana?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical roles because client advisor work often involves in-person relationship building. About 7% of client advisor openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the remote-eligible share concentrated in digital banking support, inside sales advisory, and account management roles where client contact happens primarily by phone or video.
How can I get hired as a client advisor in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a bank teller, personal banker, or customer service associate role at one of Indiana's regional banks or credit unions, such as Old National Bank, Centaur Financial, or Horizon Bank, which regularly promote internally into advisory positions. Completing a pre-licensing course through the Indiana Department of Insurance and passing the producer exam before applying gives candidates a clear edge. Internship programs at Indianapolis-based insurance and financial firms also convert regularly into full-time junior advisor roles.
Where can I find and apply to client advisor jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to client advisor jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings across financial services, insurance, banking, and related industries. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level and location preference, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
