Customer Success Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer success in Indiana?
Customer success roles in Indiana do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, combined with experience in account management, support, or sales. Credentials like the Certified Customer Success Manager designation can strengthen a candidacy. Entry-level candidates often start in support or inside sales roles at Indiana-based tech or healthcare companies before moving into dedicated customer success positions.
Which companies hire customer successs in Indiana?
Indiana customer success roles are posted by Salesforce, PubMatic, and Wiers and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indiana's concentration of SaaS, healthcare IT, and financial technology firms means customer success openings appear consistently across both established corporations and fast-growing regional companies.
Which Indiana cities have the most customer success jobs?
Indianapolis, Gurugram, and Carmel have the most customer success openings in Indiana. Indianapolis drives the majority of demand as the state's primary corporate and tech hub, home to large SaaS vendors, health tech firms, and financial services companies, while Fort Wayne and Bloomington contribute openings tied to regional manufacturing technology and university-affiliated software companies.
Are there remote customer success jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer success is fundamentally a communication and relationship-management role that translates well to remote work. About 45% of customer success openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly the tech and SaaS sectors have adopted flexible work models. Onboarding and renewal management roles tend to be the most consistently remote.
How can I get hired as a customer success in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a customer support or inside sales role at an Indiana-based SaaS or healthcare technology company, where internal transfers into customer success are common. Companies like Genesys and Salesforce's Indianapolis offices run associate and rotational programs that place candidates without direct CS experience. Building familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM and pursuing a Certified Customer Success Manager credential signals readiness to hiring managers even before your first dedicated CS role.
