Most customer success roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, though no state-issued license or exam applies to the role. Texas employers, particularly in Austin's SaaS corridor and Dallas's enterprise technology sector, prioritize candidates who can demonstrate account management experience or relevant adjacent work. Earning a Certified Customer Success Manager credential from an industry body strengthens your application and is increasingly recognized by large Texas tech employers.
How much do customer successes make in Texas?
Customer successes in Texas earn a median of about $40,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $29,320 for the lowest 10% to over $59,590 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer successs in Texas?
Employers hiring customer successs in Texas right now include Google, Rippling, and USI Insurance Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of enterprise software headquarters and SaaS scaleups means customer success hiring is consistent year-round, particularly in Austin and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Which Texas cities have the most customer success jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most customer success openings in Texas. Austin drives the highest volume due to its dense concentration of SaaS companies and technology headquarters, while Dallas-Fort Worth attracts enterprise and financial services customer success roles, and Houston's energy and healthcare technology sectors generate steady demand for customer-facing account professionals.

Yes, and more than most fields. About 26% of customer success openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting that the core work of managing accounts, running onboarding calls, and monitoring client health happens entirely through software and video. Technical customer success and enterprise account management roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while onsite expectations are more common at early-stage companies.
How can I get hired as a customer success in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a customer success associate or junior customer success manager role at a mid-size Austin or Dallas SaaS company, where training programs are common and career paths are well-defined.
