Client Manager Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client manager in Delaware?
Most client manager roles in Delaware require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, followed by experience in account management or a client-facing role. Delaware does not require a state-issued license specifically for client managers, but roles in financial services may require FINRA registrations such as the Series 6 or Series 63, which are commonly listed by Wilmington-area employers. Building a portfolio of managed accounts and earning a CRM certification strengthens candidacy.
Which companies hire client managers in Delaware?
Employers hiring client managers in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, CSC, and Citizens, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's concentration of financial services and pharmaceutical headquarters in and around Wilmington makes it one of the more active states for corporate and institutional client management roles.
Which Delaware cities have the most client manager jobs?
Newark, Delaware, and Dover account for the largest share of client manager openings in Delaware. Wilmington leads because it is home to major bank headquarters, insurance carriers, and corporate legal entities, while Newark and Dover contribute openings tied to healthcare systems, state government contractors, and regional business services firms that anchor those markets.
Are there remote client manager jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than many fields, since client management work is largely communication and relationship-based rather than on-site. About 50% of client manager openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of much of the role. Account strategy, reporting, and virtual client meetings are the functions most commonly performed remotely, while onboarding and relationship-building often still involve in-person time.
How can I get hired as a client manager in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a client services associate or account coordinator role at one of Delaware's large financial institutions or healthcare organizations, where rotational and new-hire programs exist for recent graduates. Employers such as JPMorgan Chase and Nemours Children's Health run structured early-career programs that move associates into client-facing work. Lateral moves from customer success, inside sales, or operations roles at Delaware-based firms are also common routes, and earning a CRM certification before applying gives candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to client manager jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to client manager jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to those positions through the listings.
