Clinical Project Manager Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical project manager in Nebraska?
Most clinical project managers in Nebraska start with a bachelor's degree in nursing, biology, pharmacy, or a health-related field, then move into coordinator or associate CRA roles to build trial operations experience. Nebraska does not issue a state license specific to clinical project management, so credentials like the CCRP through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals or the PMP through the Project Management Institute carry the most weight with local hiring teams. Employers affiliated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center system often treat CCRP certification as a near-requirement for advancement into project leadership.
How much do clinical project managers make in Nebraska?
Clinical project managers in Nebraska earn a median of about $80,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,630 for the lowest 10% to over $129,560 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical project managers in Nebraska?
Nebraska clinical project manager roles are posted by Bryan Health, University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Celerion and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's concentration of academic medical centers and regional health systems means many openings sit within research administration departments rather than standalone CRO offices.
Which Nebraska cities have the most clinical project manager jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island hold the most clinical project manager openings in Nebraska. Omaha drives the largest share due to Nebraska Medicine, CHI Health, and several contract research organizations clustered around the UNMC campus, while Lincoln's openings are often tied to the state health system and university-affiliated research programs, and smaller cities appear on the list when regional hospitals or sponsor sites post project leadership roles tied to multi-site trials.
Are there remote clinical project manager jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than many clinical roles allow. About 15% of clinical project manager openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and coordination-heavy nature of much of the work. Sponsor-side and CRO-based positions, particularly those focused on data oversight, vendor management, and timeline tracking, are the most consistently remote, while site-facing roles tied to Nebraska hospitals typically require on-site presence at least part of the week.
How can I get hired as a clinical project manager in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a clinical research coordinator role at a Nebraska academic medical center or hospital research department, which builds the protocol adherence and site management skills that employers expect before promoting into project leadership. Nebraska Medicine and CHI Health both run research operations teams that regularly bring in coordinators without prior trial experience, provided candidates hold a relevant degree and pass GCP training. Moving laterally from a clinical background in nursing, pharmacy tech work, or data management is also common. Earning the CCRP certification early signals commitment and often accelerates the transition into a junior CPM title.
Where can I find and apply to clinical project manager jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to clinical project manager jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly to the ones that match.
