- Support documentation of medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy standards
- Help manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and coordinating follow-up visits
- Assist in medical procedures across specialties like dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or emergency medicine as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
- Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and medication administration safely and accurately
- Strong patient service skills with excellent communication and compassionate care approach
- Familiarity with hospital medicine, urgent care procedures, or inpatient experience such as Level I Trauma Center or PICU is a plus
