Solutions Consultant Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions consultant in New Jersey?
Most solutions consultant roles in New Jersey require a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline. There is no state-issued license for the role itself. Employers in the state typically look for candidates with hands-on experience in a technical or sales-support function, and certifications from platform vendors such as Salesforce, Microsoft, or AWS carry meaningful weight with New Jersey hiring managers in technology and financial services.
Which companies hire solutions consultants in New Jersey?
Employers hiring solutions consultants in New Jersey right now include ZS Associates, ZS, and ADP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, financial services firms, and enterprise technology consultancies means demand is spread across multiple industries rather than a single sector.
Which New Jersey cities have the most solutions consultant jobs?
Princeton, Summit, and Roseland account for the most solutions consultant openings in New Jersey. Newark anchors demand through its financial services and logistics sectors, Princeton draws hiring from its dense cluster of pharmaceutical and consulting firms, and Parsippany is home to numerous technology and professional services companies that rely on solutions consultants for enterprise client work.
Are there remote solutions consultant jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and they're more common than in many other roles. About 90% of solutions consultant openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on client calls, software demonstrations, and proposal development that can be done off-site. The portions of the role most likely to remain remote are pre-sales discovery calls and platform configuration reviews.
How can I get hired as a solutions consultant in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a sales development, business analyst, or technical support role at one of New Jersey's large technology or consulting employers. Firms like IBM, Cognizant, and Deloitte's New Jersey offices run associate consulting and rotational programs that place early-career candidates in client-facing work. Building a portfolio with vendor certifications in Salesforce or Microsoft Azure, and targeting roles titled junior solutions consultant or solutions engineer associate, gives candidates without direct experience a credible starting point.
Where can I find and apply to solutions consultant jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to solutions consultant jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target industry, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
