Solutions Consultant Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions consultant in Massachusetts?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or information systems followed by a role in sales engineering, technical support, or account management at a Massachusetts software or technology company. No state-issued license is required for this role in Massachusetts. Employers in the Boston corridor increasingly value platform certifications from Salesforce, AWS, or HubSpot, which candidates can pursue independently while building client-facing experience.
Which companies hire solutions consultants in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring solutions consultants in Massachusetts right now include Aon, Palo Alto Networks, and PwC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's dense concentration of enterprise software firms, life sciences companies, and financial technology providers means consistent year-round demand across both established vendors and growth-stage technology companies.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most solutions consultant jobs?
Boston, Massachusetts, and Waltham account for the greatest concentration of solutions consultant openings in Massachusetts. Boston and Cambridge drive the highest volume because of their dense clusters of enterprise software vendors, biotech firms, and financial technology companies, while Burlington and Waltham pull significant demand from the Route 128 technology corridor, where major software and cloud infrastructure employers maintain large regional offices.
Are there remote solutions consultant jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields, since solutions consulting centers on demos, discovery calls, and platform walkthroughs that translate well to video-based workflows. About 71% of solutions consultant openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Pre-sales and discovery work tends to be the most remote-friendly portion of the role, while complex enterprise implementations and executive business reviews often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a solutions consultant in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales development representative or technical support role at a Boston-area SaaS company, then moving into pre-sales as internal transitions open up. Companies like HubSpot and Salesforce run structured associate solutions engineer programs that accept candidates without direct consulting experience. A Salesforce Administrator or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification significantly strengthens an early-career application and signals technical credibility to Massachusetts hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to solutions consultant jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to solutions consultant jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings from employers across the state. Find roles that match your experience and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
