The Clinical Program Manager is responsible for coordination and daily operations of specified program. Acts as an educational resource to patients regarding the program. Responsible for the compilation of statistical information related to the program. Maintains membership in appropriate corporate-wide committees.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Clinical Program Manager at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Participates, develops, implements, and evaluates the accreditation audit process as designated by ICAVL. Maintains required audit logs for quality control and service equipment. Interprets, implements and enforces vascular laboratory policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, ICAVL, and other state/government regulatory standards/requirements. Maintains knowledge of standards in guiding all aspects of care.
- Assists the physician with coordinating patient care in the office, hospital, to referring physicians, and ancillary facilities. Ensures communication among physician, patient, and outside referral sources is accurate and timely. Assists in ordering proper tests and labs. Informs patients of test results and care or follow up instructions.
- Communicates in a professional, courteous manner with patients, families, visitors, suppliers, team members, and physicians to promote high quality care and superior levels of service. Ensure that patients are treated promptly and questions and concerns are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Adapts to new technology; attends vascular and nursing conferences to promote self-education. Prior approval required.
- Acts quickly and responsibly to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Immediately contacts service personnel to address the issue.
- Monitors vascular ultrasound supply inventory and equipment. Notifies practice manager, or designee, when supplies are low. Works within parameters established for expense budget. Assists with unpacking, storing, and/or distribution of supplies upon demand.
- Promotes patient satisfaction through demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service by interacting in a friendly, helpful manner. Communicates potential patient satisfaction issues to the manager. Keeps informed regarding the practice's performance.
- Manages and/or assists in the recruitment, development and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and/or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
- Involved in the development and/or management of budget for assigned areas. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations.
- Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics as needed and/or requested. Develop, recommend and/or implement actions or process improvements as appropriate.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelors of Nursing degree required
- 7+ years of progressive clinical job related experience
- 5+ years of clinical management in an ambulatory setting
- Experience with electronic medical records required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Relevant clinical experience - vascular preferred
- Epic experience a plus
Licenses and Certifications Required: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.

STARTING MINIMUM RATE: Starting at $124,571.20 Annually

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
