Responsibilities
- Review and code medical procedures and services based on medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to coding standards such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Create and maintain pathways between EMR systems to guarantee the seamless and accurate transfer of pertinent patient information, facilitating smooth transitions between systems and preventing data loss.
- Assign appropriate codes for reimbursement, billing, and compliance purposes.
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify any discrepancies in medical records and ensure proper coding practices.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to data or USMON system
- Ensure all coded data is entered accurately into the billing and coding system.

Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and compliance standards
