Align your credentials to networking software leadership
Arista hires Development Managers who can lead distributed engineering teams on cloud networking and EOS platform work. Before applying, make sure your resume reflects direct experience managing software engineers in network infrastructure, not just general engineering management.
Research Arista's LCA filings before your interview
DOL Labor Condition Applications are public record. Search the OFLC disclosure data for Arista Networks to understand which job titles and locations have active LCAs for management roles. This tells you where active hiring is concentrated before you commit to a location preference.
Clarify your visa category early in recruiter conversations
Arista sponsors multiple visa types for this function, including H-1B and TN. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether you need cap-gap coverage, since the H-1B cap-subject filing window runs April through June for an October 1 start.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Development Manager openings
Arista's sponsorship-eligible roles aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Development Manager positions at Arista Networks where visa sponsorship is confirmed, so you're targeting roles that are actually in scope for your situation.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term planning
Arista supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL. That process typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed, so ask your recruiter where the company is in that workflow before you accept an offer.
Prepare for technical leadership interviews alongside visa logistics
Arista's Development Manager interviews assess your ability to drive roadmaps for complex networking software, not just people management. Coming in with examples of cross-functional delivery on hardware-software integration projects signals you're ready for the scope of the role.

Find Development Manager at Arista Networks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arista Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, Arista Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date, and also files for H-1B transfers for candidates already holding the status. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, Arista can initiate the H-1B petition before your OPT expires.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Arista Networks?
You can apply through Arista's careers page directly, or use Migrate Mate to find and track Development Manager openings at Arista where visa sponsorship is confirmed. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight leadership of software engineering teams in cloud networking or distributed systems, which maps directly to Arista's core product areas.
Which visa types does Arista Networks commonly use for Development Manager roles?
Arista Networks sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Development Manager positions, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa type depends on your nationality, current status, and career timeline.
What qualifications does Arista Networks expect for a Development Manager role?
Arista's Development Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, along with experience managing software engineering teams. Given Arista's focus on networking operating systems and cloud infrastructure, hands-on background in network software development or hardware-software co-design strengthens your application significantly over general engineering management experience.
How do I plan my timeline if Arista Networks sponsors my visa for a Development Manager position?
Timeline depends on your visa type. H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start, so your offer needs to be in place before the registration window opens in March. TN status can be obtained at the port of entry with no advance filing. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, budget at least 12 to 18 months for DOL certification before USCIS reviews the immigrant petition.
