Get your credentials evaluated before applying
If your mental health degree is from outside the U.S., obtain a foreign credential evaluation from NACES-approved evaluators before you apply. BAYADA's clinical hiring process moves quickly, and having this ready prevents delays when licensure verification is required.
Target BAYADA's home health clinical openings
BAYADA staffs mental health roles across home-based and community care settings, which differ from hospital roles. Filter your search specifically for behavioral health and counseling positions, since those are the functions where sponsorship for clinical professionals is most likely to be offered.
Align your state licensure with open locations
Mental health licensure is state-specific in the U.S. Check which states BAYADA is actively hiring in and verify your LPC, LCSW, or equivalent license transfers or can be obtained there before pursuing an offer, since licensure gaps will block both hiring and visa filing.
Ask HR directly about H-1B petition timing
BAYADA has sponsored H-1B petitions for healthcare professionals, but cap-subject filings are tied to USCIS's April 1 filing window. When you receive an offer, ask the HR or recruitment team specifically about their H-1B filing timeline so you can plan your start date accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active sponsorship roles
Mental health openings at BAYADA with confirmed visa sponsorship aren't always easy to identify through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for BAYADA's mental health positions that are open to H-1B, F-1 OPT, or TN sponsorship, saving significant research time.
Clarify OPT or TN eligibility during the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm with BAYADA's HR that the mental health role qualifies under your SOC code before accepting. TN visa holders in mental health-adjacent occupations should verify the specific USMCA-listed category applies to the offered position before the offer letter is finalized.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BAYADA Home Health Care sponsor H-1B visas for Mental Healths?
Yes, BAYADA Home Health Care has sponsored H-1B visas for clinical and mental health professionals. Sponsorship is tied to specific roles and business need, so it's not guaranteed for every opening. When pursuing a position, confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with the hiring team or recruiter during the interview process rather than assuming it applies.
Which visa types are commonly used for Mental Health roles at BAYADA Home Health Care?
H-1B is the primary visa category used for mental health professionals in specialty occupation roles such as licensed counselors, therapists, and behavioral health specialists. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for students in qualifying programs, and TN visas may be available for Canadian or Mexican nationals in eligible mental health occupational categories under the USMCA agreement.
What qualifications and experience does BAYADA Home Health Care expect for Mental Health roles?
BAYADA typically requires a relevant graduate degree such as a Master's in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, along with active state licensure such as LCSW, LPC, or equivalent. Clinical experience in home health, community mental health, or behavioral health settings is valued. Some roles may require specialty certifications depending on the patient population served.
How do I apply for Mental Health jobs at BAYADA Home Health Care?
You can browse and apply for mental health openings at BAYADA directly through their careers site. For a faster way to find visa-sponsorship-eligible roles specifically, Migrate Mate filters BAYADA's active mental health positions by visa type, so you can focus only on openings relevant to your immigration status without combing through listings manually.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship through BAYADA?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed with USCIS in April for an October 1 start date, so you need an offer letter in place before the March registration window opens. If you're on F-1 OPT, your OPT authorization and any STEM extension timeline should also factor into when you begin your job search and offer negotiations with BAYADA.
