Align your CV to Teneo's consulting frameworks
Teneo's consulting work spans CEO advisory, financial restructuring, and communications. Tailor your CV to reflect client-facing project experience and measurable outcomes, not just job titles. Generic consulting resumes get filtered out before reaching the hiring managers who approve E-3 sponsorship.
Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
Not every consulting title clears the E-3 specialty occupation bar. Cross-reference your target role against O*NET to confirm it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Advisory and strategy roles at Teneo typically qualify; generalist coordinator roles may not.
Request LCA confirmation before accepting an offer
Before signing anything, ask Teneo's HR whether a Labor Condition Application has been filed with DOL for your specific role and location. The LCA must be certified before your consular appointment, and delays at that stage can push your start date back by weeks.
Use Migrate Mate to track Teneo's DOL filing history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer, so you can see which practice areas and job titles Teneo has filed E-3 sponsorship for. That filing history tells you where active sponsorship exists before you invest time in a full application.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent scrutiny at the consulate
Consulting roles at firms like Teneo often raise dual-intent questions at Australian consulates. Bring documentation showing your ties to Australia, including property, family, or professional commitments, and be prepared to explain the temporary nature of your engagement clearly and directly.
Negotiate your start date around E-3 processing windows
Sydney and Melbourne consulate appointment availability shifts seasonally. When negotiating your Teneo start date, build in at least four to six weeks from LCA certification to visa stamp in hand. Agreeing to a start date before your consulate slot is confirmed creates unnecessary risk.
Teneo E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Teneo Holdings sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Teneo Holdings sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian nationals in qualifying consulting and advisory roles. The firm has filed Labor Condition Applications with DOL for E-3 positions, primarily within its strategy, communications, and financial advisory practices. Sponsorship decisions are made role-by-role, so confirming early in the hiring process is essential.
Which roles and departments at Teneo Holdings typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
Teneo's E-3 sponsorship has been concentrated in roles tied to its core advisory services, including management consulting, corporate communications, financial restructuring, and executive advisory. These positions typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement because they demand a degree in a directly related discipline. Support or generalist roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Teneo Holdings?
Once you have a verbal offer, ask Teneo's HR or immigration coordinator to initiate the Labor Condition Application with DOL. After LCA certification, you complete the DS-160 online, pay the MRV fee, and schedule a consular interview in Australia. USCIS is not involved in standard consular E-3 applications. Migrate Mate can manage the filing process end-to-end if you want dedicated support.
How long does the E-3 visa process take at Teneo Holdings?
Total timeline from offer to visa stamp is typically four to eight weeks, depending on DOL LCA processing speed and consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. The LCA usually certifies within seven business days. Consulate wait times vary by location and season, so scheduling your appointment as soon as the LCA is certified reduces delays.
How do I confirm Teneo Holdings will sponsor my specific role before applying?
Ask directly during the offer stage whether the role has been designated as E-3 eligible and whether Teneo has filed LCAs for similar positions in that practice area. You can also review Teneo's DOL LCA disclosure history by job title and location to see which roles have received sponsorship, giving you a clearer picture before committing to the process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Teneo Holdings?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
