Target clinical and patient care roles
Hanger's core business is orthotics and prosthetics care, so roles like orthotist, prosthetist, and clinical technician are the most natural fit. Focus your application on positions that directly support patient outcomes rather than peripheral functions.
Highlight licensure and certifications early
Healthcare roles at Hanger typically require state licensure or board certification. Lead with your credentials, ABC or BOC certification, for example, so hiring managers can quickly confirm you meet the regulatory requirements that often gate sponsorship decisions.
Understand TN eligibility if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations should explore the TN visa pathway with Hanger. TN does not require an H-1B lottery, which can make the process faster and more predictable for eligible applicants already holding relevant credentials.
Leverage F-1 OPT and CPT strategically
Hanger supports F-1 OPT and CPT, which means students in healthcare-adjacent programs can enter through practical training. Use OPT as a bridge to demonstrate clinical value before transitioning to an H-1B petition.
Apply to clinic locations with active hiring
Hanger operates across dozens of states, and sponsorship decisions are often tied to facility-level need. Browse open roles by location on Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify where Hanger is actively hiring.
Prepare for a credentialing-focused interview process
Healthcare employers like Hanger verify credentials, background, and compliance standing before extending offers. Have your academic transcripts, license verification documents, and any foreign credential evaluations ready before your first interview to avoid delays in the sponsorship timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hanger sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hanger sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of sponsoring international professionals in healthcare and clinical roles. While Hanger sponsors visas on a selective basis relative to larger hospital systems, qualified candidates in specialty clinical positions, particularly orthotics and prosthetics, have a credible path to H-1B sponsorship.
Which visa types does Hanger sponsor?
Hanger sponsors H-1B visas and supports international candidates on F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT, making it accessible to both students in practical training and skilled workers seeking longer-term status. TN visas are also listed among the types Hanger sponsors, which is an option for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations.
Which roles or departments at Hanger are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Hanger is most commonly associated with clinical patient care positions, particularly licensed orthotists, prosthetists, and clinical technicians. These are specialty roles with a recognized degree requirement and licensure pathway, which makes them well-suited to meeting H-1B specialty occupation standards. Administrative and support roles are less commonly sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Hanger?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Hanger roles that come with verified sponsorship history. You can filter by company, visa type, and location to see current openings at Hanger alongside its sponsorship track record, so you're not guessing whether a role is sponsorship-eligible before you apply.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Hanger for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a registration window typically in March, so timing matters. Aim to have an offer secured well before that window opens. Start your job search several months in advance, complete any required credential evaluations early, and confirm your employer's intent to sponsor before the registration deadline to avoid missing the cycle.
