Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Analyst Jobs at Humana Jobs
Align your credentials to healthcare analytics
Humana's Business Analyst roles sit within a regulated healthcare environment. Frame your resume around healthcare data systems, claims analysis, or compliance workflows. A background in health informatics or managed care operations signals direct role fit before your application reaches a recruiter.
Target roles listing specific technical stacks
Humana's BA postings frequently specify tools like SQL, Tableau, or Salesforce. Applying to roles that match your exact tool set increases the likelihood your candidacy advances to the point where sponsorship conversations become relevant and actionable.
Clarify OPT or CPT authorization early in screening
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT or CPT authorization dates before your first recruiter call. Humana's talent acquisition team needs to know your work authorization window aligns with their onboarding timeline, which can run six to ten weeks from offer to start.
Ask about the H-1B cap-exempt pathway through affiliates
Humana operates research and academic-adjacent units that may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filing under USCIS rules. If a standard cap-subject petition isn't viable given lottery timing, ask your recruiter whether your assigned business unit has any cap-exempt affiliation.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Business Analyst roles at Humana
Sponsorship-willing roles at large employers like Humana aren't always flagged clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Business Analyst openings at Humana that are verified for visa sponsorship, so you're applying where your status won't be a blocker.
Plan around PERM timelines if targeting Green Card sponsorship
EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship at large employers like Humana typically begins with PERM labor certification filed with the DOL. This process alone can take 12 to 18 months, so raise long-term sponsorship interest during offer negotiation, not after your first performance review.

Find Business Analyst at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. The company files petitions for qualifying candidates through the standard USCIS cap-subject process. Because the H-1B lottery runs once annually with an April 1 filing window, timing your offer and onboarding around that cycle matters. Confirm sponsorship intent with your recruiter during the offer stage, not after signing.
Which visa types does Humana commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
Humana supports a range of visa categories for Business Analyst hires, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1 exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term candidates. The right category depends on your citizenship, educational background, and career stage. TN is often the fastest path for Canadians and Mexicans in qualifying analyst roles.
What qualifications does Humana expect for sponsored Business Analyst positions?
Most Business Analyst roles at Humana require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, health informatics, or a related discipline. Analytical tools experience (SQL, Tableau, Excel) and familiarity with healthcare operations or claims data are recurring requirements. Roles supporting enterprise or clinical functions may expect prior managed care or insurance industry exposure.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Humana?
You can browse and apply for Business Analyst roles at Humana through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions open to visa sponsorship so you're not wasting applications on roles that won't support your status. Once you identify a target role, apply through Humana's careers portal and confirm visa sponsorship availability with the recruiter during the initial screening call.
How do I plan my timeline around Humana's H-1B sponsorship process?
The H-1B cap-subject filing window opens April 1 each year for an October 1 start date. If Humana extends you an offer and you need H-1B sponsorship, the practical deadline for receiving an offer, completing USCIS registration, and filing a petition is roughly February to March. Starting your job search six to nine months before that window closes gives you the best chance of a smooth transition.
