Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced product leader to work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build AI-powered solutions that solve enterprise problems. We are looking for a product leader who is able to move quickly, from deeply understanding a business challenge to prototyping an AI solution to proving its value. You will lead and drive a complex product area within our applied AI portfolio, define what success is, build and develop with the team, and drive step-change results across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a complex product area within our applied AI portfolio, defining success, prioritizing problems, and identifying the best AI-driven strategies considering wider organizational context. Adapt and adjust strategies to reflect learnings and changes.
- You will partner directly with business units to deeply understand their operations, capture requirements, map processes, and identify the most significant opportunities for AI-driven improvement.

- You will actively identify opportunities and resolve dependencies by creating shared strategies across teams in adjacent product areas.
- You will develop reusable product frameworks, playbooks, and best practices that accelerate AI solution delivery across the organization.
- You will influence strategy and progress across partner teams, enhancing collaboration and resolving divergent goals.
- You will communicate product strategy, progress, and business value with radical clarity to all stakeholders.
- You will support the growth of PMs and cross-functional team members by providing mentorship, coaching, and hands-on guidance.

Frame your PMP credentials for healthcare operations
Humana's Program Manager roles sit at the intersection of healthcare delivery and enterprise operations. Certifications like PMP or PMI-ACP carry more weight here than in tech, so lead with them on your resume alongside any experience coordinating clinical or insurance programs.
Target Humana's enterprise transformation teams first
Humana regularly posts Program Manager roles tied to large-scale digital health and Medicare Advantage initiatives. These teams have longer project timelines and more predictable hiring cycles, which means they're more likely to invest in sponsorship for the right candidate.
Confirm LCA filing intent before your final interview
Before accepting an offer, ask whether Humana has filed a Labor Condition Application with DOL for this role's wage level. A company that handles this internally rather than outsourcing to outside counsel often moves faster through the H-1B petition process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Program Manager roles
Not every Program Manager posting at Humana is tied to a sponsorship-ready team. Use Migrate Mate to surface and track roles at Humana that align with their verified sponsorship history, so you're applying where the path forward actually exists.
Prepare for OPT to H-1B timing gaps in your offer
If you're on F-1 OPT, Humana's offer letters may not account for the gap between OPT expiration and H-1B cap-subject start dates on October 1. Raise this during negotiations and confirm whether a cap-gap extension under your OPT STEM extension covers the interim period.
Build a PERM-ready employment history document now
Humana sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process for Program Managers in ongoing roles. USCIS and DOL require precise documentation of prior job duties and employer contact details, so organize that history before you need it, not after your petition is underway.

Find Program Manager at Humana JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Humana sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company works with both cap-subject petitions and cap-exempt situations depending on the candidate's status. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, Humana can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start without waiting for the October 1 cap date.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Humana?
Apply directly through Humana's careers portal at careers.humana.com. Search for Program Manager roles and filter by location or business unit. Before applying, review whether the posting sits within a healthcare operations, IT, or enterprise transformation team, since sponsorship readiness can vary by division. Migrate Mate also aggregates Humana Program Manager openings and filters by visa sponsorship history, which speeds up targeting.
Which visa types does Humana commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Humana sponsors Program Managers under H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT, and also supports J-1 transfers in some cases. For longer-term immigration, Humana has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for Program Managers in established roles. TN is available specifically for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or professional categories.
What qualifications does Humana expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
Humana typically expects a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, business administration, healthcare management, information systems, or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale programs. Project management certifications such as PMP are frequently listed as preferred or required. Roles tied to Medicare Advantage or Medicaid operations may also require familiarity with healthcare regulatory compliance frameworks.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Humana Program Manager offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. An H-1B transfer from an existing visa can take four to six weeks with premium processing through USCIS. A new cap-subject H-1B requires waiting for the April lottery and an October 1 start date. TN status for Canadian nationals can sometimes be obtained at the border within a day. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes two or more years from initiation.
