Salary: $175,000 - $205,000 per year
A bit about us:
We're a family-founded industrial services company built from the ground up over the last 35+ years — from a small garage operation into a leading player across electrical, automation, renewable energy, and power services for manufacturing, food and beverage, agriculture, and industrial clients nationally. We've grown fast, we're financially strong, and we're not slowing down: we're actively acquiring companies, expanding into new markets, and on track to significantly grow revenue this year alone. Ownership is deeply engaged, financially healthy, and genuinely invested in doing this right — not chasing growth for growth's sake, and values the HR team.
Why join us?
- Direct line to ownership and an incredible CHRO who is modernizing this function and genuinely invested in your success
- A company with the financial strength to invest in its people function properly, rather than stretching HR thin
- High-growth, high-visibility work: you'll help shape how this company scales through acquisitions, new markets, and rapid headcount growth
- A genuinely flat, accessible leadership team that wants a strategic partner
- Large existing team in place, with the ability to further structure & define the path forward, with a trajectory to expand your scope as the function matures
JOB DETAILS
Lead the modernization and optimization of an existing HR Business Partner function to support a fast-scaling organization. Refine and scale core capabilities including leadership coaching, workforce planning, organizational development, employee relations, and employee experience. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance concerns, workplace conflict, and organizational change initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HRBP team; elevate the team toward strategic advisory and proactive talent planning
- Assess the current HRBP operating model and redesign it to align with business growth and complexity
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations) to align strategy and execution
- Serve as strategic advisor to senior leaders on org design, workforce planning, and leadership effectiveness
- Own the people side of active and upcoming acquisitions and integrations, including due diligence support and post-close org alignment
- Drive adoption and data literacy within a newly implemented enterprise HR technology system
- Guide organizational design, restructuring, and job architecture as the company scales
- Report directly to the CHRO, who will be a close partner and advocate as you optimize the function
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10-15+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnership and complex employee relations
- 3+ years leading an HR Business Partner team or function
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
- Experience leading organizational change, workforce planning, or org effectiveness initiatives
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, construction, industrial, or other field-based workforces highly desirable
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integrations preferred

Frame your HR credentials for staffing
Jobot operates as a staffing and recruiting firm, so HR experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, or workforce compliance carries more weight than generalist backgrounds. Tailor your resume to show direct experience managing candidate pipelines or employment processes.
Verify your OPT start date early
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization, with a 60-day grace period after it ends. If you're targeting Jobot's HR roles, align your job search timeline so your OPT start date leaves room for onboarding and any offer negotiation.
Ask about LCA filing scope during interviews
Because Jobot places workers across multiple client sites, confirm whether your HR role is based at Jobot's own offices or tied to client locations. The Labor Condition Application filed with DOL must cover the actual worksite, which affects your petition and any future transfers.
Find open HR roles using Migrate Mate
Jobot posts Human Resources roles across multiple locations, and availability shifts quickly in the staffing sector. Use Migrate Mate to filter current Jobot HR openings by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is actively supported.
Prepare documentation before the offer stage
Have your degree certificates, transcripts, and prior visa approval notices organized before you receive an offer. Jobot's HR hires often move quickly through the offer process, and delays in gathering documents can slow the I-129 petition timeline with USCIS.
Distinguish TN eligibility for HR roles carefully
TN status covers specific professional categories defined under USMCA. HR roles at Jobot may qualify if your duties align with recognized categories like management consultant or human resources specialist, but the job description must clearly match, so review the duties list with your employer before filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources?
Yes, Jobot has sponsored H-1B visas for Human Resources professionals. As a staffing and recruiting company, Jobot handles HR functions internally and has supported sponsorship for qualified candidates in this function. Your best path is applying directly to open HR roles and confirming sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screening call.
How do I apply for Human Resources jobs at Jobot?
You can browse and apply for Jobot's Human Resources openings through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles where H-1B, F-1 OPT, or TN support is available. Apply directly through the job listing, and be prepared to discuss your visa status and work authorization timeline early in the process.
Which visa types does Jobot typically support for Human Resources roles?
Jobot has supported H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Human Resources positions. H-1B is the most common long-term path for HR professionals. F-1 OPT is viable for recent graduates entering HR, particularly in talent operations or recruiting coordination. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose HR duties align with USMCA-defined professional categories.
What qualifications does Jobot look for in Human Resources candidates requiring sponsorship?
Jobot's HR roles sit within a fast-moving staffing environment, so experience in recruiting operations, employee relations, or HR compliance tends to be prioritized. A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field generally supports the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Candidates with hands-on experience managing high-volume hiring or workforce processes are particularly competitive.
How do I time my application around visa processing for a Jobot HR role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with the registration window typically opening in March and employment starting no earlier than October 1. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized period covers Jobot's expected start date. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry, which gives Canadian nationals more flexibility on timing.
