Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
A bit about us: A rapidly growing, field service organization is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to help lead and scale its expanding network of locations. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position working closely with executive leadership to strengthen branch performance, integrate newly added locations, standardize operating processes, and build the infrastructure needed to support continued growth. This is not a traditional desk-based regional leadership role. The Regional Director will spend significant time in the field working directly with Branch Managers, Service Managers, technicians, and local teams. The right person understands commercial door and dock operations, knows how a profitable service organization should run, and is comfortable stepping into a branch, identifying problems, and helping the team solve them.
Why join us?
- 401(k) with company match
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Flexible scheduling
- Professional development support
- Bonus
JOB DETAILS
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and support operations across multiple regional locations
- Partner closely with Branch Managers and Service Managers to improve operational and financial performance
- Travel regularly to branch locations to evaluate operations and implement improvements
- Help integrate newly added locations into a larger multi-site organization
- Standardize processes surrounding dispatch, scheduling, routing, inventory, service delivery, and billing
- Identify operational gaps affecting profitability, customer service, technician productivity, or cash flow
- Improve the complete service lifecycle from initial customer request through job completion and billing
- Coach branch leadership on P&L management, labor utilization, productivity, and service profitability
- Establish consistent operating procedures and performance expectations across locations
- Support transitions from manual or legacy processes into modern ERP and field service management systems
- Partner with field teams to improve adoption of new processes without disrupting customer relationships or local culture
- Monitor operational KPIs and use data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Promote a strong safety culture across field operations
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
- Serve as a key connection between executive leadership and branch-level operations
- Help develop the operational playbook that will support continued regional expansion
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
- Direct experience within the commercial door, loading dock, industrial door, access control, or closely related field service industry
- Strong working knowledge of commercial doors, dock equipment, high-speed doors, sectional doors, rolling/coiling doors, and related systems
- Experience leading multi-site, branch, or regional service operations strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of field service economics, including technician utilization, labor management, dispatch, routing, inventory, billing, and P&L performance
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
- Experience coaching Branch Managers, Service Managers, or other operational leaders
- Exposure to acquisitions, branch integrations, organizational growth, or operational standardization is highly desirable
- Experience working with ERP or field service management platforms
- Strong Excel and operational reporting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, branch leadership, customers, and senior executives
- Willingness and ability to travel 75%+ throughout the region
- Must reside in Massachusetts or Connecticut
THE IDEAL LEADER
You are equally comfortable reviewing branch financials with senior leadership and walking through a service operation with technicians. You understand that improving operations requires more than creating procedures. You need to earn the trust of the people performing the work, understand why problems are happening, implement practical solutions, and make sure those improvements last. You enjoy building structure in growing organizations and aren't intimidated by locations that may still rely on manual processes, tribal knowledge, or different ways of doing things. Most importantly, you want to be in the field. You enjoy visiting locations, solving operational problems, developing leaders, and seeing the direct impact of your work.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY
This organization is entering a significant stage of expansion, creating an opportunity to help shape how a growing regional platform operates. Rather than inheriting a finished corporate playbook, you'll have the opportunity to help build it. As the organization continues expanding, this position has the potential to grow significantly in scope and responsibility.

Align your resume to staffing operations frameworks
Jobot's Operations roles support internal recruiting workflows and client service delivery. Frame your experience around process improvement, workforce coordination, or vendor management rather than generic administrative tasks to signal immediate fit.
Confirm TN eligibility before applying
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN status is available without a lottery and can be faster to obtain than H-1B. Verify that your Operations role qualifies under an eligible TN profession before targeting Jobot's open positions.
Search Jobot Operations openings on Migrate Mate
Jobot posts a high volume of Operations roles across specializations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for positions at Jobot that actively indicate visa sponsorship so you're not spending time on roles that won't support your status.
Request clarity on H-1B filing timelines early
USCIS's H-1B cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. In your offer discussions, confirm whether Jobot plans to file in the upcoming cap season or pursue a cap-exempt route through a client placement.
Document your OPT authorization before your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT, your EAD card must be valid on day one. Staffing firms like Jobot typically run E-Verify checks within three business days of hire, so ensure your authorization documents are in order before onboarding begins.
Target Jobot roles tied to specific client verticals
Jobot operates across technology, finance, legal, and healthcare staffing verticals. Operations roles supporting high-demand verticals like technology or healthcare tend to move faster through internal approvals, which can shorten the time between offer and petition filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Operations jobs?
Yes, Jobot sponsors H-1B visas for Operations roles, though sponsorship decisions depend on the specific position and business need. Because Jobot operates as a staffing firm, some H-1B filings may be structured around client placements. Confirm the arrangement directly with your recruiter so you understand who the petitioning employer will be before you accept an offer.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Jobot?
You can apply directly through Jobot's website or browse their current Operations openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include visa sponsorship. When you reach out to a Jobot recruiter, state your visa status and sponsorship needs upfront. Jobot's recruiters move quickly, so having your resume and authorization documents ready speeds up the process.
Which visa types does Jobot commonly use for Operations roles?
Jobot sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Operations positions. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates moving into entry-level operations roles. TN is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. H-1B is used for longer-term placements where the role meets USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Operations roles?
Jobot's Operations positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience coordinating workflows or managing processes. For H-1B purposes, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning a specific degree requirement must be tied to the position rather than a general educational preference.
How do I time my application around visa filing deadlines?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, USCIS's cap registration window opens in March each year, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. For F-1 OPT, your EAD must be valid at the time of hire. Starting your job search at least three to four months before these deadlines gives you time to receive an offer and allow Jobot to prepare the necessary petition documents.
