Verify your credentials before applying
Healthcare roles at Jobot often require state licensure, board certification, or credentialing that must be active before a sponsor can file. Confirm your credentials are valid in the target state well before reaching out to recruiters.
Target Jobot's permanent placement divisions
Jobot specializes in direct-hire placements, not short-term contract work. Focus your outreach on permanent or long-term Healthcare openings, since those are the roles where sponsorship conversations are most likely to move forward with their recruiters.
Ask recruiters about employer-side willingness upfront
Jobot acts as the intermediary between you and the end employer. In the staffing model, the end employer ultimately decides on sponsorship, so ask the Jobot recruiter explicitly whether the hiring company has sponsored visas for this role before.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsorship-verified openings
Search Migrate Mate to identify Jobot Healthcare listings where sponsorship has been confirmed, so you're not spending time on roles where the end employer won't support an H-1B or TN petition.
Align your OPT timeline with Jobot's hiring cycle
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period after graduation or job end leaves little buffer. Start conversations with Jobot recruiters at least three months before your OPT expires so there's time for credentialing, placement, and any USCIS cap-gap considerations.
Prepare a specialty occupation justification for your role
USCIS scrutinizes Healthcare H-1B petitions closely when the role title sounds generalist. Document how your specific position requires a specialized degree, not just licensure, to strengthen the petition your sponsoring employer will file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Jobot does sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcare roles, though sponsorship is role-specific and depends on the end employer in Jobot's staffing model. Because Jobot places candidates with client companies, the hiring organization ultimately drives the sponsorship decision. Your best approach is to confirm sponsorship openness directly with the Jobot recruiter assigned to your role before investing time in the interview process.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Jobot?
You can apply directly through Jobot's website or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Jobot Healthcare listings where visa sponsorship has been verified. When applying, include your current visa status and any active state licenses prominently in your resume. Jobot's recruiters move quickly, so responding to outreach within 24 hours and having your credentialing documents ready puts you ahead of other candidates.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Jobot?
H-1B is the most common visa type for Healthcare professionals at Jobot in roles requiring a specialized degree, such as clinical informatics, healthcare administration, or allied health. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in specific designated Healthcare occupations. F-1 OPT can also be used for candidates still within their authorized work period, though the employer must be comfortable with the timeline constraints.
What qualifications does Jobot look for in sponsored Healthcare candidates?
Jobot's Healthcare placements typically require a relevant degree and active state licensure or board certification specific to the role. For H-1B eligibility, your position must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the role normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles that accept any degree regardless of field will not support an H-1B petition, so degree-to-role alignment is critical in your application materials.
How do I manage the timeline between my visa status and a Jobot placement?
Jobot's staffing model adds a layer to the timeline because the end employer, not Jobot itself, files the visa petition. Factor in time for credentialing verification, end-employer onboarding, and USCIS processing on top of the standard offer-to-start window. If you're on F-1 OPT, initiate conversations at least 90 days before your authorization expires. For H-1B transfers, DOL requires a certified Labor Condition Application before the petition can be filed, which typically takes one to three weeks.
