Frame your PM credentials around healthcare operations
McKesson's Program Manager roles sit at the intersection of healthcare logistics, technology, and compliance. Tailor your resume to show experience managing regulated workflows, vendor relationships, or enterprise-wide rollouts rather than generic project delivery.
Target roles with defined scope over internal initiatives
McKesson's sponsored Program Manager positions tend to be tied to specific business units or technology programs with clear deliverables. Roles aligned to external client delivery or infrastructure projects are more likely to generate a formal sponsorship filing than open-ended internal roles.
Raise sponsorship early in the recruiter screen
McKesson's recruitment process for Program Managers typically involves multiple rounds. Confirming sponsorship eligibility in the first recruiter call prevents late-stage surprises and ensures the hiring team routes your file through the right internal approvals before an offer is extended.
Align your start date to USCIS processing realities
If your role requires an H-1B cap filing, the October 1 start date is fixed. Plan your offer negotiation and notice period accordingly. USCIS premium processing can reduce the I-129 adjudication window to around 15 business days if timing is tight.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles efficiently
McKesson posts Program Manager openings across multiple business lines, and not all are easy to find in one place. Use Migrate Mate to filter for McKesson roles that align with your visa type and PM background so you're applying to positions with active sponsorship history.

Find Program Manager at McKesson JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does McKesson sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, McKesson sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS cap process, which means roles starting before October 1 require selection in the annual lottery. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer to McKesson avoids the cap entirely and can proceed on a faster timeline.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at McKesson?
Applications go through McKesson's careers portal, where Program Manager openings are listed by business unit and location. Roles span healthcare technology, supply chain operations, and enterprise services. Migrate Mate aggregates these listings and filters by visa sponsorship history, making it easier to identify which openings are realistic targets if you need work authorization support.
Which visa types does McKesson commonly use for Program Manager sponsorship?
McKesson sponsors H-1B visas for the broadest range of nationalities, E-3 visas for Australian citizens in specialty occupation roles, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. Program Manager positions generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines because they require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as business, engineering, or information systems.
What qualifications does McKesson expect for sponsored Program Manager roles?
McKesson typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, supply chain, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs in complex organizations. Healthcare industry experience, familiarity with regulated environments, and proficiency with enterprise project management tools are common differentiators. PMP certification strengthens your application but is rarely listed as a hard requirement.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a McKesson Program Manager offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. An H-1B transfer from a current employer can move quickly once McKesson files the I-129 petition. A new cap-subject H-1B requires lottery selection in March and an October 1 start date, so plan for a six to nine month gap between offer and first day. E-3 applicants can often move faster since the category has no lottery and consular processing typically takes two to four weeks.
