Align Your HR Credentials to Fitness Industry Standards
Certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP carry weight in sports and recreation hiring. Frame your experience around high-volume hourly workforce management and multi-location HR operations, which mirrors how Orangetheory structures its HR function across corporate and franchise studios.
Distinguish Corporate Roles from Franchise Positions
Orangetheory operates through both corporate-owned and franchise locations. Visa sponsorship is handled at the corporate level, so target roles listed under Orangetheory Fitness corporate headquarters rather than individual studio franchise postings, which rarely have sponsorship authority.
Confirm LCA Filing Before Accepting Any Offer
Before an H-1B or TN offer can move forward, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Confirm the hiring team has initiated this step and understand the certified prevailing wage for your work location, which affects your offer terms.
Prepare OPT to Full Sponsorship Transition Documentation Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, Orangetheory can begin TN or H-1B paperwork before your OPT expires. Gather your degree transcripts, employment verification letters, and job description documentation well in advance so there's no gap in your work authorization status.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter for Verified Sponsoring Roles
Search Orangetheory Human Resources Manager openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for employers with active visa sponsorship history. This saves time verifying which postings are backed by actual sponsorship capability rather than speculative listings.
Understand TN Eligibility for HR Manager Roles Specifically
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA, but HR Manager is not a listed TN category. Verify with USCIS guidance or an immigration attorney whether your specific role description qualifies before assuming TN is available.

Find Human Resources Manager at Orangetheory Fitness JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Orangetheory Fitness sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Orangetheory Fitness has sponsored work visas for Human Resources professionals, though H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, work location, and prevailing wage compliance. HR Manager positions at the corporate level are more likely to come with sponsorship support than franchise-level postings. Confirm sponsorship intent directly during the interview process before investing significant time in an application.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at Orangetheory Fitness?
Applications go through Orangetheory's corporate careers portal. Focus on roles listed under the corporate entity rather than individual franchise studios, as those are where visa sponsorship decisions are made. Migrate Mate also surfaces verified Orangetheory HR openings with sponsorship history, helping you prioritize roles where sponsorship is realistic rather than aspirational.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources Manager roles at Orangetheory Fitness?
The most common pathways for HR Manager roles at Orangetheory include F-1 OPT and CPT for students in HR or business programs, H-1B for specialty occupation employees, and EB-2 or EB-3 for permanent residence. TN classification is not clearly available for HR Manager titles under current USMCA category definitions, so Canadian and Mexican nationals should verify eligibility carefully.
What qualifications does Orangetheory Fitness expect for Human Resources Manager candidates?
Orangetheory typically looks for HR professionals with experience managing multi-location or high-volume hourly workforces, as the company operates hundreds of studios across the U.S. A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is generally required. Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP strengthen your application and support specialty occupation classifications for visa purposes.
How do I time my visa sponsorship process when interviewing for an HR role at Orangetheory?
If you're on F-1 OPT, initiate sponsorship conversations before your OPT expiration date since H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed in April for an October 1 start. For TN or cap-exempt pathways, processing can move faster. Get written confirmation of sponsorship intent before giving notice to a current employer and allow time for DOL Labor Condition Application certification before your start date.
