Gather Your Medical Credentials Early
PAGNY hires for clinical roles that require board certification, state licensure, and ECFMG certification if you trained abroad. Delays in credential verification are a common bottleneck, so have all documents authenticated and ready before interviews begin.
Target Roles Tied to Permanent Positions
PAGNY staffs NYC Health and Hospitals facilities, where many roles are long-term institutional positions. These are more likely to support EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship than short-term or locum engagements, so focus your search on attending and staff physician openings.
Browse Open Healthcare Roles on Migrate Mate
PAGNY posts a wide range of Healthcare openings across specialties. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for PAGNY roles that align with your specialty and visa sponsorship needs, saving you time sorting through listings that don't match your profile.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Not every PAGNY role comes with identical sponsorship support. During offer negotiations, ask specifically whether the position covers attorney fees, PERM advertising costs, and I-140 filing fees, as employer practices vary by department and contract type.
Maintain Valid Status Through the Green Card Process
EB-2 and EB-3 processing can span several years. If you're already working in the U.S. on an H-1B or another nonimmigrant status, confirm with PAGNY's HR that they'll support timely H-1B extensions so your work authorization stays current throughout the process.

Does PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
PAGNY's primary sponsorship pathway for Healthcare professionals is employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant visas. That said, if you're already in H-1B status with another employer, PAGNY may support an H-1B transfer to maintain your work authorization while your permanent residency case is pending. Confirm the specifics with their HR team during the offer process.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK?
You can browse and apply for PAGNY Healthcare openings directly through Migrate Mate, which aggregates their current listings across specialties and facilities. Applications typically require an updated CV, proof of board certification or eligibility, and a valid or pending New York State medical license. Having these documents ready before you apply speeds up the credentialing and hiring process significantly.
Which visa types does PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK commonly use for Healthcare roles?
PAGNY most commonly sponsors Healthcare professionals through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories, which require DOL PERM labor certification followed by USCIS I-140 adjudication. EB-2 applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. The appropriate category depends on the specific role and your credentials.
What qualifications does PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK expect for Healthcare roles?
PAGNY staffs physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers across NYC public hospitals. Most clinical roles require U.S. board certification or active candidacy, a valid New York State license, and for internationally trained physicians, ECFMG certification. Advanced practice roles typically require a master's degree in the relevant specialty. Prior experience in high-volume urban or safety-net hospital environments is commonly preferred.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at PHYSICIAN AFFILIATE GROUP OF NEW YORK?
For EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the timeline starts with DOL PERM labor certification, which can take 12 to 18 months. USCIS I-140 adjudication follows, and if your priority date is current, you can then file for adjustment of status. Total timelines vary based on your country of birth and visa backlog, but candidates from high-demand countries should plan for multi-year timelines.
