Get your credentials evaluated before applying
If you trained outside the U.S., credential evaluation is a gatekeeping step for healthcare roles. Get a NACES-accredited evaluation early and verify your licensure meets the state requirements for the facility you're targeting.
Target Prime's hospital campuses strategically
Prime Healthcare operates across multiple states with varying licensing and sponsorship needs. Focusing on campuses in states where your clinical license is already active or reciprocal significantly shortens your time to an offer.
Understand which visa fits your healthcare role
Healthcare roles at Prime can qualify under TN for Canadians and Mexicans in specific occupations, F-1 OPT for recent graduates, or EB-2 and EB-3 for permanent residency. The right pathway depends on your role's degree requirements and your long-term plans.
Prepare your PERM documentation from day one
EB-3 sponsorship for healthcare workers requires a lengthy PERM labor certification through DOL. Request clarity on the employer's PERM timeline during your offer stage so you're not caught off guard by a multi-year process after onboarding.
Search Healthcare roles at Prime using Migrate Mate
Finding which Prime Healthcare facilities are actively hiring sponsored roles is the hardest part of the search. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Healthcare positions at Prime by visa type and location so you're applying where sponsorship is actually available.
Ask HR about concurrent status maintenance during filing
If you're on F-1 OPT and Prime initiates an EB-3 petition, your OPT expiry doesn't pause the process. Confirm with Prime's HR team how they handle status continuity between OPT expiration and any approved H-1B or immigrant visa timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Prime Healthcare Services sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Prime Healthcare Services does not appear in recent H-1B visa LCA disclosure data as a consistent H-1B sponsor for Healthcare roles. Their sponsorship activity for this function is centered on PERM-based immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT and TN visa for eligible candidates. If H-1B visa sponsorship is a priority for you, confirm directly with Prime's HR team during the offer process.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Prime Healthcare Services?
You can browse open Healthcare roles at Prime Healthcare Services through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you can target facilities that match your status. Applications are submitted through Prime's careers portal. For sponsored roles, expect the process to include credential verification, state licensure confirmation, and a conversation with HR about your specific visa pathway before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Prime Healthcare Services commonly use for Healthcare roles?
Prime Healthcare Services primarily supports Healthcare candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship, which requires PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported for students and recent graduates in qualifying clinical or allied health roles. TN visa status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible healthcare occupations, and does not require USCIS petition approval.
What qualifications does Prime Healthcare Services expect for sponsored Healthcare roles?
Requirements vary by role, but most sponsored Healthcare positions at Prime require a relevant U.S.-recognized degree or foreign equivalent, an active state clinical license where applicable, and prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting. For immigrant visa sponsorship under EB-3, the role must meet DOL's definition of a skilled worker, typically requiring a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the specific healthcare discipline.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Healthcare roles at Prime?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa pathway. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry for eligible Canadians with an offer letter, often in a single day. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS takes up to 90 days and should be started well before your program end date. EB-3 PERM sponsorship is a multi-year process involving DOL recruitment, petition filing with USCIS, and consular or adjustment of status processing. Plan accordingly if permanent residency is your goal.
