Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Electrical Systems Engineer Jobs at Schneider Electric Jobs
Align Your Credentials to Schneider's Scope
Schneider Electric's electrical engineering roles span low-voltage distribution, building management systems, and industrial automation. Frame your resume around specific systems experience, such as switchgear design or SCADA integration, rather than general electrical engineering.
Target Schneider's Manufacturing Hub Locations
Schneider concentrates Electrical Systems Engineer hiring in states like Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina where their manufacturing and data center operations are heaviest. Prioritizing these locations can shorten your path to an interview and accelerate the LCA filing with DOL.
Secure Your Professional Engineer Credentials Early
A PE license or progress toward one carries real weight for Electrical Systems Engineer roles in manufacturing. Schneider's hiring managers regularly cite licensure as a differentiator, and having it documented before you apply removes a common offer-stage negotiation point.
Understand How Schneider Structures H-1B Transfers
If you already hold an H-1B with another employer, Schneider can file a cap-exempt transfer petition. USCIS allows you to start working as soon as the petition is received, so you're not waiting on approval before your first day.
Browse Open Roles and Track Sponsorship Patterns on Migrate Mate
Filter Electrical Systems Engineer openings at Schneider Electric by visa type on Migrate Mate to see which roles are actively paired with H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already in scope.
Prepare for PERM Documentation During Offer Negotiations
Schneider supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for this role, which requires a PERM labor certification filed with DOL. Ask your recruiter early whether the offer letter will include a commitment to Green Card sponsorship to avoid ambiguity after you've accepted.

Find Electrical Systems Engineer at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Systems Engineers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Electrical Systems Engineer roles. Schneider is an established H-1B employer with a consistent history of filing petitions for engineering positions across their U.S. manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy management operations. If you're on an existing H-1B, Schneider can also file a cap-exempt transfer so you're not subject to the annual lottery.
How do I apply for Electrical Systems Engineer jobs at Schneider Electric?
Apply directly through Schneider Electric's careers portal, or use Migrate Mate to browse Electrical Systems Engineer openings at Schneider filtered by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your application to the specific business segment, such as industrial automation or power distribution, since Schneider's engineering teams are organized by division and hiring managers look for aligned experience from the first screen.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly sponsor for Electrical Systems Engineer roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship. Australian citizens are well-positioned to pursue the E-3, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. Candidates seeking permanent residence can discuss PERM labor certification as part of their offer negotiation with Schneider's HR team.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Electrical Systems Engineer positions?
Schneider typically expects a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field. For mid-to-senior roles, experience with power systems design, low-voltage equipment, or industrial control systems is common. Familiarity with IEC or NEC standards, along with exposure to CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, strengthens your application. A Professional Engineer license is a differentiator for project-facing or client-site roles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Schneider Electric for this role?
For H-1B transfers from an existing employer, USCIS allows work authorization to begin upon receipt of the petition, making the timeline relatively fast. New H-1B cap cases are tied to the annual lottery with an October 1 start date. E-3 consular processing for Australian applicants typically runs two to four weeks once the Labor Condition Application is certified by DOL. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship is a multi-year process and is usually discussed separately from the initial offer.
