Obtain a Recognized CMA Credential First
Before applying, secure your Certified Medical Assistant credential through AAMA or RMA through AMT. New Hampshire clinical employers prioritize certified candidates, and holding active certification strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation argument for this role.
Target Outpatient and Ambulatory Clinic Postings
Southern New Hampshire Health's Clinical Medical Assistant openings are concentrated in outpatient and ambulatory settings. Filter your search to those facility types, since those departments hire more consistently and tend to have more predictable onboarding timelines than inpatient units.
Use Migrate Mate to Track Open Roles
Clinical Medical Assistant positions at healthcare systems like Southern New Hampshire Health open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to monitor verified visa-sponsoring job listings and prioritize active openings before requisitions fill or sponsorship decisions are made for specific headcount.
Address H-1B Specialty Occupation Proactively
USCIS scrutinizes Clinical Medical Assistant petitions under the specialty occupation standard. Before your employer files, work with their immigration counsel to document that your role requires at minimum a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, not just a certificate-level credential.
Confirm E-Verify Enrollment During the Offer Stage
Ask the recruiter whether Southern New Hampshire Health is enrolled in E-Verify before accepting an offer. Most New Hampshire healthcare employers of this size are enrolled, but confirming early lets you plan your I-9 and work authorization timeline without surprises after signing.
Build Your New Hampshire Clinical Network Before Applying
Referrals carry weight at regional health systems. Connect with working Clinical Medical Assistants at Southern New Hampshire Health through professional associations like AAMA's New England chapter. An internal referral can move your application to a hiring manager faster than a cold submission.

Find Clinical Medical Assistant at Southern New Hampshire Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Southern New Hampshire Health sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Medical Assistants?
Yes, Southern New Hampshire Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Clinical Medical Assistant roles. Sponsorship is typically handled case by case rather than as a blanket policy, so the strongest candidates are those with active CMA certification, relevant ambulatory care experience, and a clear fit with the specific open requisition. Engaging with the recruiter early about sponsorship intent helps avoid late-stage surprises.
Which visa types are commonly used for Clinical Medical Assistant roles at Southern New Hampshire Health?
The H-1B is the most common work visa used for Clinical Medical Assistant positions at U.S. healthcare employers, including Southern New Hampshire Health. Candidates already holding H-1B status with a prior employer can transfer to a new petition. If you hold a Green Card or are on a dependent visa with work authorization such as an H-4 EAD, those pathways may allow faster onboarding without a new USCIS petition.
How do I apply for Clinical Medical Assistant jobs at Southern New Hampshire Health?
Applications go through Southern New Hampshire Health's careers portal. Search for Clinical Medical Assistant openings, apply directly, and flag your visa sponsorship needs early in the process. You can also browse verified sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces active Clinical Medical Assistant openings at employers with a demonstrated history of H-1B sponsorship, so you spend less time on dead ends.
What qualifications and experience does Southern New Hampshire Health expect for Clinical Medical Assistant roles?
Most postings require a graduate-level medical assisting diploma or associate's degree, plus an active AAMA or AMT certification. Hands-on experience with electronic health records, patient intake, vital signs, phlebotomy, and clinical documentation is expected. Prior experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting is a strong differentiator given where most Clinical Medical Assistant openings at Southern New Hampshire Health are concentrated.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Clinical Medical Assistant role?
The standard H-1B cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, so backwards-planning from that window matters. If you're already in H-1B status, an employer transfer can begin as soon as your new employer files. USCIS premium processing reduces adjudication to roughly 15 business days. Build in time for the Labor Condition Application, which DOL must certify before the H-1B petition can be filed.
