Frame Your Credentials Around Client-Facing Outcomes
Consulting firms vet Partnerships Managers on measurable relationship and revenue outcomes, not just titles. Before applying, document specific partnership deals, revenue targets met, and client portfolios managed so your credentials translate directly to Westwood's service delivery model.
Target Westwood Roles Requiring Specialty Occupation Alignment
H-1B eligibility hinges on your role qualifying as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Partnerships Manager positions grounded in business strategy, consulting methodology, or market development with a required bachelor's degree in a related field typically meet the threshold.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Westwood Requisitions
Westwood posts Partnerships Manager openings across multiple locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Westwood roles tagged with visa sponsorship so you're only applying where sponsorship is confirmed, not assumed.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Accepting an Offer
Professional services firms sometimes sponsor H-1B transfers but not new cap-subject filings. During the offer stage, ask Westwood's talent team explicitly whether your situation requires a cap-subject petition or a cap-exempt transfer so you understand your April lottery timeline.
Prepare for PERM Requirements if Targeting a Green Card
If Westwood pursues EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for your Partnerships Manager role, the DOL PERM labor certification process requires documented recruitment efforts proving no qualified U.S. worker was available. Expect this process to begin well after your H-1B is approved and stable.
Align Your TN Application With the Relevant USMCA Category
Canadian and Mexican nationals targeting this role should confirm with Westwood whether the Partnerships Manager position maps to a qualifying USMCA professional category, typically Management Consultant or a closely related designation, before requesting TN sponsorship at the border or a U.S. consulate.
