Compliance Analyst Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance analyst in New Jersey?
Most employers in New Jersey require a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field as the foundation for a compliance analyst role. New Jersey does not mandate a state-issued license specific to compliance analysts, but certifications such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional credential from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics are widely recognized by New Jersey hiring managers. Candidates entering financial services should also be familiar with FINRA registration requirements, which apply to certain compliance roles in that sector.
How much do compliance analysts make in New Jersey?
Compliance analysts in New Jersey earn a median of about $106,410 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,800 for the lowest 10% to over $205,030 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance analysts in New Jersey?
Employers hiring compliance analysts in New Jersey right now include FXI, Barclays, and NJ TRANSIT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, financial institutions, and insurance carriers means compliance analyst demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which New Jersey cities have the most compliance analyst jobs?
Camden, Newark, and Fort Lee account for the most compliance analyst openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City drive volume through their financial services and banking presence, while Parsippany and the Route 1 corridor attract life sciences and pharmaceutical compliance roles tied to the major corporate campuses concentrated in that region.
Are there remote compliance analyst jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of compliance analyst openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, documentation-heavy nature of the work. Policy review, regulatory reporting, and audit coordination are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, while roles requiring direct oversight of physical operations or lab environments tend to stay on-site.
How can I get hired as a compliance analyst in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a compliance coordinator, regulatory affairs associate, or audit assistant role at a New Jersey financial institution or pharmaceutical company. Large New Jersey employers such as Prudential Financial and major hospital systems like RWJBarnabas Health hire candidates directly into compliance operations roles with a bachelor's degree and no prior compliance title required. Completing the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional exam early, or gaining exposure to internal audit through a corporate rotational program, gives candidates a measurable edge when competing for junior openings.
Where can I find and apply to compliance analyst jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to compliance analyst jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly.
