Compliance Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance analyst in Texas?
Most compliance analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. Texas does not mandate a state-issued license for general compliance work, but professional certifications such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics significantly strengthen candidacy. Employers in energy and financial services often also value familiarity with Texas-specific regulatory bodies such as the Texas Department of Banking and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
How much do compliance analysts make in Texas?
Compliance analysts in Texas earn a median of about $78,140 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $51,400 for the lowest 10% to over $137,260 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring compliance analysts in Texas right now include Goldman Sachs, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and Citi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major banks, and energy companies means compliance hiring stays active throughout the year across a wide range of industries.
Which Texas cities have the most compliance analyst jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston lead Texas for compliance analyst openings. Houston's dominance reflects its energy sector headquarters and major banking operations, Dallas draws significant volume from financial services and insurance firms concentrated in its Uptown and Las Colinas corridors, and Austin's fast-growing technology and government sectors have steadily added compliance functions over the past several years.
Are there remote compliance analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Compliance analyst work is largely desk-based and document-driven, making it well-suited to remote arrangements. About 21% of compliance analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with policy review, regulatory reporting, and third-party risk assessment roles being the most commonly offered in fully remote formats.
How can I get hired as a compliance analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an adjacent role such as paralegal, internal auditor, or financial analyst into a junior compliance or compliance coordinator position. Large Texas financial institutions and hospital systems regularly bring in candidates through rotational analyst programs and compliance associate tracks designed for recent graduates. Earning a CCEP certification or completing the Texas Banking Academy's compliance coursework signals commitment to employers and offsets a shorter work history.
Where can I find and apply to compliance analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to compliance analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience level and location preference and apply directly to each one.
