Qualifications
- Relevant technical education and certification in welding technology, materials science, or a related field. An A.A.S or A.S. degree is acceptable but a B.Sc. is preferred with an AWS-CWI (minimum) or SCWI and / or CWEng (Active Status) (preferred) with a minimum of 10 years in engineering, fabrication and / or QA/QC role
- Strong technical knowledge of welding processes, process optimization detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience with developing / writing and qualifying welding procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g, AWS, ASME, API, NAVSEA, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel and Word)
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering requirements, metallurgy, and nondestructive testing
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (green card holder)
- Competence in reading technical drawings and performing dimensional and visual inspections.
- Effective communication skills for preparing clear technical reports and consulting with clients.
- Prior experience in a metallurgical lab, testing facility, or industrial welding environment (preferred)
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Pay: $67,700.00 - $110,000.00 per year
