Corporate Accounting Manager Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate accounting manager in Delaware?
Most corporate accounting managers in Delaware hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a CPA license issued or recognized by the Delaware State Board of Accountancy. The board requires passing all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination and meeting Delaware's education and experience requirements. From there, candidates typically advance through senior accountant or accounting supervisor roles at Delaware-based companies or financial institutions before stepping into a management position.
Which companies hire corporate accounting managers in Delaware?
Employers hiring corporate accounting managers in Delaware right now include JPMorganChase, Solenis, and Epic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's status as a major corporate domicile means many holding companies and financial institutions maintain accounting teams in Wilmington and the surrounding area even when their operational headquarters are elsewhere.
Which Delaware cities have the most corporate accounting manager jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and New Castle account for the largest share of corporate accounting manager openings in Delaware. Wilmington drives the bulk of demand as the state's financial and corporate hub, home to major banks, credit card issuers, and pharmaceutical companies, while Newark and Dover contribute openings tied to university-affiliated institutions, state government contractors, and mid-size manufacturers with finance functions concentrated in those areas.
Are there remote corporate accounting manager jobs in Delaware?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since corporate accounting work is largely desk-based and output-driven. About 36% of corporate accounting manager openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well-suited the role is for distributed work. Consolidation reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis tasks are the most likely to be fully remote, while roles with direct team oversight or audit coordination often require at least some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a corporate accounting manager in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a staff or senior accountant role at a large Delaware employer, then building toward management from within. Financial institutions in Wilmington and pharmaceutical companies such as those clustered along the Route 202 corridor regularly hire accounting associates and offer structured rotational programs for new graduates. Earning or actively pursuing a CPA license through the Delaware State Board of Accountancy is the clearest credential that accelerates the move from individual contributor to manager, and lateral moves from roles such as financial analyst or accounting supervisor are common stepping stones.
Where can I find and apply to corporate accounting manager jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to corporate accounting manager jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find the roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
